Play through The End here: https://youtu.be/ihHGZR-BFoo Finally made it to the end thanks to the creators for fixing the bug super quick and I still loved this game it was so much fun and the END was still challenging I feel like every boss is there for a reason to test if your deck is well rounded or just completely bonkers by that point I could definitely see how decks could still struggle at that point. Three things to bring up that aren't major, one after beating the abyss bringer for the first time on this run it cycled me back to map 2 shown at 1:37:50 which after playing through 2-6 again it did allow me to go to the end . I still think lowering the perk cost on the end is a bit high I feel like players should be allowed to reach it earlier and fail or even possibly succeed, but I think that would be quite a feat because again the end is great and still challenging even maxxed. I don't think the achievements worked if you've already had the game and have been playing it I can't confirm or deny for new players, but it's great that they've already started adding them. Full playthrough here (only through the abyss so far): https://youtu.be/e8EYnCVLUcM This game is SO WORTH the price it's amazingly well balanced and it's freaking hard it has tons of replay value and the Perks* are INSANELY important. I honestly thought I had an op build til entering the 5th floor and then they ripped my junk off and slapped this piss out of me until I died which didn't take long. It did take me a few runs and getting some of the perks into the game to realize how well made this game is. So if you're just starting to play don't get discouraged if you like card roguelites you will love this it's absolutely fantastic. I'll probably edit my review as I try to beat it. Edit: It would be a super awesome QoL change if the Perks told you how many points you've spent so far and I forgot to mention how awesomely creepy some of the sprites look. Another quality of life change that would be nice is like a codex which has all the cards separated into booster packs and the cards you haven't seen yet are blacked out for each type of booster pack that would be fantastic. I do really wish this had achievements and getting perks can be a bit tough towards the end as you pretty much have to get to the end of your run to get those juicy perks luckily you usually get multiple, but once you're clearing the 6th floor it takes about 2 hours so that's a good bit of time re-running the same stages.

I'm having an amazing time playing this, building different decks, testing classes, making weird builds work (luck-based decks work, somehow), and trying to get to the end. You start finding some disturbing enemies when you get deeper, and you need to build a good deck to get through the floors with enough health to survive the next one. The interface is a little convoluted during the first runs; there's equipment, inventory, cards, stats, classes, auras, usable items, and they all build into your deck and how you want to play the game, but you get used to it on after a few runs. Even so, very well worth the price, and a must-play if you are into either deckbuilding or roguelike games, or both. I just saw that they added the achievements, I'll be busy getting those.
This is a tentative recommendation from me for a game that seems to have gone under most's radar. This game is a strong entry into the very specific... card-game-RPG genre, similar to Erannorth Chronicles. To be clear, it's purely a rogue-lite card game, but the cards you acquire you can freely switch in and out of between combats and (nearly) every card scales in effect based on your character stats, which you upgrade over time with gear and level ups. The upshot of this is that your 'builds' are as much based on your gear and class and stats than the cards themselves, and there's a good degree of depth and satisfaction as you tweak and optimise your strategy. Some mechanics, like how 'classes' (and multiclassing) work, and like the Aura system (in which you have a limited set of slots - which you may increase with one of your stats - to slot in cards with purely passive effects, somewhat resembling 'relics/artifacts' or similar passive upgrades from other card games) help tie your strategy and build together. And on top of all of that, the game has a reasonably fleshed out meta-progression. The reason why it's a hesitant recommendation is because... 'rough around the edges' barely begins to describe how minimalistic the game's qualities are beyond the core gameplay. The English is serviceable, but not great. Some cards don't adequately explain what they do at all (like some lightning attacks that give me a buff to my lightning damage without saying so on the card). There's no use of tooltips to explain any language, buffs, or debuffs on the cards (what's the difference between 'armor' and 'barrier', what is 'deprived', what is 'cursed'?). When buying cards from the store, you can't tell their casting cost or how many 'points' they cost to add to your deck. The art direction is bare-bones, with odd resolutions, poorly-cropped outlines and I suspect a lot of UI elements and artwork cobbled from various sources with no overarching theme and little artistic consistency. The music inelegantly loops, or at least tends to play for 30 seconds, fade out, then start again a few seconds later, and the music is not... well it's not bad, but it's not what I would expect from a game like this. If I had to compare this to one game (besides Erannorth Chronicles), it would have to be Dream Quest - a game with a similarly bare-boned visual and audio experience over a strong, well-realised gameplay loop. This probably is even rougher than Dream Quest, in many ways, but it's an enjoyable experience and hopefully will only get better.
EA Roguelike deckbuilder + various classes + $ = RPG look and feel but fighting with cards. Manage cards, deck and EQ appropriate to your class. Level to choose perks and skills.
Follow our curator for similar games
Awesome game with great depth. The variety of builds and synergies you can build, even within the same class, is really something I'm still far from being able to win the game, but the losses rarely feels unfair. There is room for improvement UI wise, but it more than compensates with great mechanics
Less expensive than a double cheeseburger at mc donalds but way more fun!
A good game that has potentials to be great. First taste is Dream Quest, Slay the Spire, and a bit of Trails of Fire. But after several runs, I thought it's not a simple mix of these games, it's UNIQUE. I need more runs to unlock new perks to beat the game, for a deep review, but for now, it's good to recommend the game to the players who like these games I mentioned above!
OMG there are two more advance jobs for each class after level 35!!
[strike]Bugs: Basic Attack+/Basic Defense+ won't get the effect of Luck of the Novice aura. So I have to use no plus version of these basic cards to build the deck. Please fix this bug. Feature request: Please add quick-play mode that removes/shorten animations and make the player only focus on building/testing instead of boring animations. Don't invest time on the animations, If I care I won't buy this game ;) [/strike] Thanks for the devs. I leave the bugs and feature requests in the thread.
Pretty decent Slay The Spire like deckbuilder with quite some unique ideas. I really like it gameplaywise. The ui is somewhat lacking, but the devs are quite responsive and open to suggestions. So it is a recommendation for me even at its full price and it feels like a steal on sale ;-).
