questo gioco e bello
Well... that games is a bit of a disappointment. The good side is that it's very fun to build in this game, even if it can become messy real quick if you're not careful. Farming ressources is good too...even if procedural generation make ressources spawn in impossible place to get ( vertically on the side of a harsh cliff...tf??). Exploration are fun, and quest funny thanks to some npc, so a good game for an adventure with creative minds. BUT: the game was released in 2019, so, 7 years ago. And there's a ton of bugs in co-op, or clearly unfinished things. I'm playing in french, but i got some item in spanish, my friend regularly see some of my parts, or of our turrets as being "damaged", or not correctly set up and moving non stop making a big noise, while everythings perfectly fine for me. Or he can lose control of his tech and fly high in the sky unable to do anything...because of a collector that stuck itself under his belly and got attached to it quite unexpectedly. ( his magnet was active, so took the part probably, but it's not supposed to become a part of your tech, but to disappear in the inventory instead.) That's for the bug. Now, next is balance: the tutorial in co-op doesn't exist. only in solo. Worse, in co-op you begin the game nearly naked, receive a huge box full of blocks to built your first mech...and can immediately get attacked by npc, either killing you, or making the block disappear cause they've been on the floor for too long...Quite the fun start when you're naked. And that's the thing: the game can't stand not harassing you every 5 to ten minutes with mech, destroying the ressource you have in your collector with either your own shots, or theirs, depends. Thankfully when you have collected enough blocks and built a decent mech they're not a problem anymore, but can still make you lose your ressources, but the beginning can be very merciless, especially the first hour with no tutorial. And lastly, a proof that the game is, either not finished, or clearly unpolished: you have a system of grade license, with component tier, weapons, armor, booster...some question of weight too....BUT NO STATS. You don't know the damage of any weapon, you don't know the health of any block, nor the resistance of any armor...In a game when you're supposed to built your mech to survive! and it's not because they doesn't exist, they are there, the game's description of the item are clear about that, and the speed you get rekt by some ennemy is a good hint that they are stats to each item...But you have to DATAMINE THEM if you want them...SERIOUSLY???!! we're in 2026, 2019 if you keep only to the release date, not in the 80's where games hadn't any data available to the player! So, in a short, a good discovery at first...IN SOLO ONLY, thanks the tutorial there, but after seven years, the games is still full of bugs and instability in co-op, they even painfully added some missing key elements ( key blocks) to the co-op that were in the solo, but it took them a long time for that...But we still miss them. my co-op party started with farming mission...but no collectors whatsoever, not even in the exchange station, despite us being License 2. ( item is a license 1 basic element, freely given in the solo tutorial....-_-), we also miss the ability to make jonction with the conveyor belt ( for a game about automatisation... what the actual flying f. f.). And we miss the ability to properly built our mech with real information, and not vague hunch. The only thing that is properly done in the game, is the creative mode, but it doesn't make for the game's original price. Discount only, for creative mind not seeking stable co-op. Don't know what their Terratech world project will give as a result, but since they launched it in early access like this game too...i'll be wary honestly.
TerraTech is the first of 3 titles of TerraTech although updates have stopped the game is still fun to play, and currently for myself I'm working on 100% all achievements. I will update my review once I have gotten all achievements
