Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 4.57/day in the week to Aug 15 → 5.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

Take on the role of Commander in the highly mobile and advanced peacekeeping corps of the Global Defense Forces or the hard-hitting and desperate Tempest Dynasty in 2 11-mission campaigns that allow the player to customize their army for each mission, as both armies seek to understand and control the mysterious but beneficial Tempest vines that grow unchecked across the war-torn planet Earth. Other dangers wait in the shadows, as the origin of the Tempest is revealed...

So incredibly slow. Doing a measurement of building construction speed, it's around 50% of RA2, and it really shows. If you've got nothing better to do with your life, go ham.

Bought it a year+ ago for the multiplayer only. Waited a c&c3 revival for years. Tempest Rising was the promise. But no players in multi, Be it at that time, or today. Money: wasted
Steam should allow a neutral recommendation instead of yes/no. On the first glance this is simply a copy of C&C (3). However, there are issues that may boil down to taste but made me refund the game: 1) Cinematics Remember the cinematics in-between missions and even during missions with real actors like Joe Kucan/Kane in C&C? Tempest Rising uses (AI ?!) voiced computer models. Maybe the budget was not enough, but this is a let-down. Also during the cinematics you get dialogue options like in an RPG, without any impact on the campaign. Probably people would otherwise be too lazy to read a codex? The campaign feels lifeless and generic. 2) Neutral buildings You cannot garrison neutral buildings with your infantry and thus you cannot clear neutral buildings from enemies. You also cannot build infantry bunkers. This takes away a strategic element. 3) Tempest The tempest depletes way too fast, there are not many ways for secondary income. 4) Combat Everything goes boom nicely, HP is generally low. This is a fast-paced tactical game like Starcraft or Supreme Commander:Forged Alliance. I had hoped they would go more in the direction of C&C:Generals. 5) Secondary unit skills Like in C&C many units have secondary/toggleable skills. Like the drone operator can get increased range on his drown but becomes immobile. This would results in a valid clickfest if the game would not be so easy that you easily win without ever using these options. 6) Research You don't really research with in-game buildings, but rather skill doctrines and stuff with points obtained from missions. This fatally reminds me of the scrapped Generals (albeit in the latter they tried to make it partloy P2W). These doctrines are rather boring (like get 20% more dmg/HP, sell buidings for 50% etc.). 7) Pacing Everything is super-fast-paced, aggression and expansion are a must. --> engineers have to place cheap guard towers on the whole map for superior vision. --> You can call down some buoy so that you can build on any selected part of the map for some time. Building doesn't require you a building vehicle. Conclusion: If you like fast-paced, tactical, arcade-like games with great graphics, then go for it. If you like slower-paced, strategic, longer games, then try it out but do not forget to refund it before 2h if you do not like it.

A szkoda. Szkoda. 8/10
reminds me of command and conquer so much. love it
This game, on paper, feels like it should feel right at home next to Command and Conquer. The graphics are great, the music is grating (sorry, I feel that way about C&C too!), the story is cheesy. This feels like it should be right at home, right next to it, and just as good, and yet it somehow feels... less than a lot of other RTS games, and I can't explain why. It just doesn't hit that right sweet spot, or scratch that itch. Worse still, it leans into being a spiritual "successor" (really a knockoff) with the names.
"Inspired by RTS greats of the 90s and 2000s" - yeah, it's pretty clear which RTS they mean. This game effectively captures the feel of Command and Conquer. I was having flashbacks to my N64 days and all the cheese strategies I used back in the day. The two campaigns together are a solid 20 hours, with multiple difficulties for those inclined to push their limits. I enjoyed the variety of the campaigns. Whereas in Starcraft, each mission focuses on one particular strategy; defend multiple points, attack and defend, command a unit, etc, often the missions in this game have multiple sections, starting as commandos (yes those missions are back), capturing bases, building defenses, then evacuating. The GDF campaign is the most polished. You can see the exact moment the devs started getting crunched in the Dynasty campaign, and that faction doesn't even get its own ending cinematic. Still, a solid RTS. Love to see it as they are so rare these days.
variety with builds is extremely limited.. either run meta or get steam rolled. Unit balance is dog doo doo
