Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 18 → 0.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Tanks: 1985, developed and published by CODEHUB, is a loving throwback to classic top-down tank combat that deliberately channels the spirit of mid-1980s arcade and console games while layering in modern systems that expand its longevity. From the first moments, it is clear that the game’s identity is rooted in nostalgia, evoking memories of simple but demanding action where positioning, timing, and awareness mattered far more than complex mechanics. At the same time, it makes a clear effort to adapt that formula for contemporary players by offering multiplayer support, creative tools, and quality-of-life improvements that prevent the experience from feeling locked in the past. The core gameplay loop is immediately familiar and refreshingly focused. Players control a tank from a top-down perspective, navigating compact arenas filled with walls, destructible obstacles, and enemy units that steadily escalate in difficulty. Movement and shooting are intentionally straightforward, but the simplicity hides a surprising amount of tactical depth. Knowing when to advance, when to retreat, and how to use terrain to block or redirect enemy fire becomes essential as levels grow more crowded and aggressive. The emphasis on precision over spectacle gives each encounter a tense, almost puzzle-like quality, where a single mistake can quickly lead to failure. The single-player content provides a steady and well-paced introduction to the game’s systems. Handcrafted levels gradually introduce new enemy behaviors and arena layouts, encouraging players to adapt their strategies rather than rely on brute force. This structure gives the campaign a sense of progression that feels earned, as success depends on understanding patterns and improving situational awareness. While the overall scope is modest, the careful level design ensures that the experience rarely feels repetitive, instead maintaining a satisfying rhythm of challenge and mastery. Multiplayer is where Tanks: 1985 truly expands beyond its retro inspiration. Local co-op allows two players to share the same screen, recapturing the social energy of classic couch gaming, while online play opens the door to competitive and cooperative matches with friends or random opponents. The inclusion of bots ensures that matches remain playable even when human players are unavailable, keeping the experience accessible at any time. These modes preserve the tight, skill-based nature of the gameplay while adding unpredictability through human decision-making. One of the most forward-thinking features is the robust level editor and community integration. Players are given the tools to design their own maps, experiment with layouts, and share creations with others. This user-generated content system significantly extends replay value, allowing the game to evolve beyond its built-in levels. The ability to browse and play community maps introduces fresh challenges and creative twists, some of which push the core mechanics in clever new directions. It transforms Tanks: 1985 from a static homage into a platform for ongoing experimentation. Modern additions such as optional powerups add a subtle layer of strategy without overwhelming the classic design. These temporary boosts can shift the balance of a match, encouraging players to make quick decisions about resource use and timing. Small social features, including quick communication tools, further enhance multiplayer sessions by allowing players to coordinate or express reactions without interrupting the flow of play. These touches demonstrate an understanding of how to modernize a retro concept without compromising its identity. Visually, the game embraces a clean pixel-art style that prioritizes clarity and readability. Tanks, projectiles, and obstacles are immediately recognizable, which is crucial in fast-paced scenarios where split-second reactions matter. The retro aesthetic is paired with smooth performance on modern displays, ensuring that nostalgia never comes at the cost of responsiveness. Sound design follows a similar philosophy, using simple but effective audio cues to reinforce actions and maintain immersion without unnecessary complexity. Ultimately, Tanks: 1985 succeeds by respecting its roots while thoughtfully expanding upon them. It does not attempt to reinvent the genre or bury it under layers of progression systems; instead, it refines a proven formula and enhances it with multiplayer options, creative tools, and modern accessibility. For players who appreciate classic arcade action, tactical simplicity, and the joy of shared competition, it offers a focused and enduring experience that feels both comfortably familiar and pleasantly refreshed. Muito bom, relembra os bons tempos.
