About

TaleSpire is a beautiful way to play pen and paper RPGs online. Bring your stories to life and embark upon campaigns together with your friends, regardless of where you are in the world.
With Talespire, the beauty and physicality of tabletop gaming meet the endless possibilities of a digital world. Here you can collaboratively build your worlds without compromising the handcrafted aesthetic of using traditional miniatures.
As a player, you can take on the mantle of multiple heroes and creatures, manage your stats, and express yourself using the growing emote system. Perform dice rolls directly on the board and interact with your environment — at least, as far as your GM will let you!
As a GM, you can dazzle and thrill your friends by building expansive maps, setting up shots, and controlling immersive soundscapes to bring all your delightful and devious designs to life.
TaleSpire is not tied to a specific game or ruleset. Whether you’re running a one-shot or a sprawling campaign, if it's on a square grid then we have your back. We are now in Early Access, so now is your chance to raise up your sword, rally your friends, and take your next adventure online with us.

Setting the stage for your story takes no time at all with Talespire, but even if you forget to prep, it can all be added in while you play. Want to destroy a wall to reveal a secret passage? Do it! Want to rain down piles of gold from the heavens? You have the power. At any moment during your adventure, you (or multiple GMs) can jump into building mode and change the world without interrupting anything else. Our persistent online boards can be created at a moment’s notice, and everything is synchronized in real-time as you dice-roll your way to glory.

It’s dangerous to go alone, but luckily we have a bunch of tools that can help, and all are as pleasing as they are useful. Beautiful dice, rulers and area markers, a range of emotes, and special modes for turn-based combat and cinematic sequences are at your disposal.
Pick from a plethora of pieces to create your scenes! The current roster stands at 280 miniatures, 2100 tiles and props, and 60 unique audio tracks. Our library is ever-expanding; we produce fresh asset packs every month.
TaleSpire boards are designed to be easily shared, whether with friends or with the wider community on sites like TalesBazaar or TalesTavern. You can copy sections of your boards (slabs) and paste them as text outside of TaleSpire. Simply paste the text back into TaleSpire to summon the slab to your hand.
Being in Early Access we still have plenty of adventures ahead of us. We have an active Discord community, which you can find in the social section, and alongside your feedback we’re looking forward to developing the game’s features. So come, journey with us a while.

Great tool for playing D&D. While I have no experience using this as a GM, as a player the experience was very smooth and easy to follow along with. Controls were intuitive and the immersion was enhanced. I also found it really cool that we were able to import custom character models for our characters.

O melhor editor de mesas de todos os tempos não deixa a desejar em nada, diversas miniaturas, tiles e comunidade sempre postando conteúdo.
Played two campaigns of DnD, strahd and a custom one. Both went amazingly well and with talestavern.com to get extra maps this is a great tool. Definitely recommend and will use for future DnD games.

It feels weird to me reviewing a VTT but as both a DM and a player, I feel like I should. So here we go. Pros: + Relatively robust tools for a DM and new ones are being added all the time. +Though it's in its early stages, has direct community support for mod.io custom minis and pre-built prop and tile configurations (slabs). + A good selection of tiles and minis, can fit a lot of different scenarios. + Hero Forge direct link support. + In-game player-made tools (symbiotes). + Fully 3D environment. + Easy to use, shallow learning curve for most things. Cons: - No option currently for terrain manipulation beyond placing tiles. - No custom tile support without mods. - No fog of war currently. - Ability to tint or recolor minis and tiles. - Very bad sorting system for minis and tiles. Sometimes difficult to find what you want. No list option, only small images you have to scroll through. - Very limited lighting options. Cannot change light colors, turn lights on or off, change brightness of light sources. - Limited environment settings for mood and tone. - No weather effects at all. There isn't a lot to say here except I do really like TaleSpire and it's served me faithfully for hundreds of hours. Almost all of the cons I listed are planned features, which means that list is going to shrink in time. Final Score: 4/5
I am on an Intel Core i7 9700F @ 3.00GHz, 32 GB RAM Dual-Channel @ 1069MHz (15-15-15-36), with a 2047MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660, and this game reaches highs of 70º C, and that's with a water cooler... Despite not liking the low poly graphics, I was hoping to be able to have lots of creative freedom with this. The only way this piece of software could work for me was if they implemented a way to create our own minis and models and import them. Yes, nowadays you can create minis with AI. You create your image with something like ChatGPT and export it to some AI that turns it into a 3D OBJ file. And it comes out even better than the minis in this game. FOR FREE! Talespire only allows you to import minis from Heroforge and other paid sites (and Heroforge also looks awful IMO). Aaaand you can't scale blocks and walls. The building sets and objects are very limited, you can't change colors or textures (and that should be base game feature), even after two years of this game sitting on my library (yeah, I was hoping it would get better). Also, I can't play it without running the risk of frying my machine, so, it is a hard no for me. Yet another piece of software I was hoping I could use to bring my D&D ideas to life, but turns out to be another deception. There are no decent options for this on Steam right now, so, Talespire, do not feel singled out... Dungeon Alchemist is no better, trust me. All the rest look like a cheap 3D game from 2010. I am not happy to give this a bad review, when I first saw it I got really excited... It has a lot of potential, but needs more options, freedom and optimization. Yeah, it is Early Access, but have been for a long, long time... At this point, I found out I can create better dungeons (or prototypes at least) on Conan Exiles. Lots of building sets and objects, and a lot more with mods. Or, better yet, learn Unity and Blender. Hell, even FlowScape, a dead software, gives me better options. Sorry to say, but your dream DM crative tool is not on Steam right now...
great game. really lets our dnd session to come to life
