“If you make Klodan bleed, you will drown in its blood.”
Prince Adrian of Fescilia travels north carrying trade agreements and words of peace, armed with a genuine belief in diplomacy. Dispatched as an envoy to the isolated mountain kingdom of Klodan, his mission is officially meant to heal old wounds. In reality, it is little more than an elegant exile. The southern crown seeks to bleed the venom out of an ancient rivalry, fully aware that a sixth son is a highly disposable pawn in the grand game of empires.
Klodan welcomes the envoy with brutal, nine-month winters, impenetrable gorges, and a deep-seated hostility toward their neighbors. Within the frozen halls of Castle Kraster, power is a volatile game played by the Council of Five Clans. In this unforgiving wasteland, polite smiles and royal titles offer no protection; trusting the wrong person can guarantee a quick death in a frozen forest ditch. Adrian’s only constant is Leo, his fiercely loyal protector and lifelong companion, ready to face the grim hostility of the northern lords by his side.
Yet, good intentions and a loyal guard are not enough to survive the political slaughterhouse. The balance of power shifts entirely around Agnar, the enigmatic King of Klodan who hides behind the face of a wolf. Terrifying, opaque, and shaped by the harshness of his land, he treats the prince’s diplomatic efforts as a nuisance, yet he might be the only force capable of keeping Adrian alive. As the dark, magical secrets of Klodan begin to surface and the fragile peace fractures, Adrian is thrust into a maze of mysteries he never anticipated.
Caught in a world where survival trumps courtesy, he must decide who to trust when every step on the thin ice shapes the fate of thousands, and the life of one expendable prince.

Reviews
Tales of Klodan is a BL visual novel built on Ren'Py for PC. This review covers the first chapter only. Playtime: eighty-seven minutes. Purchase price: one hundred twenty-five rubles (roughly $1.50 — less than a cup of coffee). The game presents an anime-inspired aesthetic that feels cohesive: backgrounds do not clash with character sprites, and the overall design holds together. The music deserves special mention — it never fades into empty noise. The melodies are alive, memorable, and worth purchasing even as a standalone DLC. The Russian localization flows smoothly, free of machine-translated awkwardness or twisted grammatical cases; it reads as if written by someone who genuinely loves language. Technically, the novel is flawless: no bugs, no crashes, no garbled text. Saves work correctly, and the framerate never stutters. The protagonist is Adrian, a young prince. The setting is fantasy with a focus on politics and intrigue. Choices exist but remain clear, almost predictable. The rails are visible at all times — this is an interactive tale rather than a branching quest. The dialogue window cannot be hidden, which detracts from enjoying the artwork, while the recurring gag — where the censorship itself takes the form of the protagonist's face — is more amusing than annoying. The story cuts off at a simple day transition — a quiet cliffhanger without blood or screams. Yet by that point, the intrigue has already taken root. The desire to continue is sharp, quiet, and persistent — not hysteria, but a cold thirst. The game's problem is not poor quality — merely excessive brevity. A satisfying appetizer that vanishes just as the main course arrives. It teases more than it gives. The price is fair. For this fragment alone, one would gladly pay twice as much. It honestly admits its incompleteness while delivering genuine quality. Final score: nine out of ten. Fresh, atmospheric, stable — but cut off at the most interesting word. Buy it if you don't mind waiting for closure and enjoy fantasy with an edge of political bite. Skip it if you demand branching freedom and despise cliffhangers with a passion.

Nice, cute and interesting! Waiting for next chapter 🙂
A BL visual novel. I quite like the first episode.
Love descriptive stories, great writing...eager for continuation.
I kinda agree with a previous reviewer that the blushy face is a bit of a turn-off, a bit overdone I feel. But the dialogue is pretty good, feels authentic, and compelling enough to make me want to read more. The plot points can be quite illogical though. And this is one thing that irritates me. Like why did the MC go off with someone else without telling his trusted aid - especially when he had a whole day to do so. Why didn't anybody do any further investigation or questioning into incidents that happened? It felt like the author just brushed the whole thing under the carpet and moved on to the next scene without explaination. Illustrations and visuals are nicely done, so I enjoyed that. I guess if you are just looking for the BL built up, it's good enough. But if you are the type to question why things don't make sense.. be prepared to get a little annoyed.
