Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon

Very good game, better than it's contemporaries, good length and nice build variety, visuals aren't the best especially the fog which ruins any night time scenes even if it's story related, the story is great although I think the setting didn't really hit me as hard as other RPGs. I did get a bug where I could not save and it cost me like 4 hours of progress, so watch out for that. Also I'm not a fan of all the crafting honestly I barely used the armoring since I was a mage but I used the cooking and alchemy and I found it boring to constantly hunt for materials to craft potions and food. I don't know if my build was overpowered or if the game was easy but I played on hard and late game nothing could really challenge me. I think that it's a very well done game that fans of RPGs should play but ultimate is informed by what came before and doesn't really pushed the envelope.

Graphics needs some work and there are a few bugs (like the damn elevators). Combat can feel a bit clunky at times. Those are the only downsides to this game. The story. The customizations. The options. The exploring. The atmosphere. The progression. The want to keep seeing what the next side quest could be from a simple letter political discussion about religion and politics - to a full blown dungeon with a goddess being damned by a curse and figuring out how to cure it with multiple bosses. What a game! I wish I didn't sleep on this game. If you like Oblivion, Fable, Skyrim or Dark Souls. I'm confident you'll like this 👍
