Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.29/day in the week to Sep 10 → 1.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Very good puzzle game. Got it for a low price and got a good 11h of enjoyment! It's inspired by The Witness, but it only borrows a bit from it. There are similarities in some of the rules but this game stands on its own as a very separate puzzle game with its own puzzle elements. The tutorials are simple puzzles that you complete easily and it slowly unravels the rules of a new puzzle element. It often happened to me that even with the tutorials, I had not fully understood the underlying principle. I had to go back & forth between older puzzles I had completed to try to figure out what it truly meant. Not a huge problem but I think it shows a bit of a mishap on the tutorials. GG had fun
Neat little puzzle game. Not particularly innovative in any of it's mechanics or themes but what's there is mostly fun. It feels like a pastiche of The Witness though Taiji is far from attaining those heights. The pixel art overworld is gorgeous with lots of little details and a variety of biomes. The soundtrack is short but delightful and was never obtrusive. The game runs well throughout the entire playtime with the sole exception of the final cutscene. As for puzzles, they are fine. There are very few new ideas here for puzzle game veterans. Very few puzzles had me delighted after discovering the solution. A lot of puzzles feel more like filler, rather than deeply exploring the consequences of the mechanics, to the point that the solving process became repetitive rather than engaging. This is especially offensive considering that some mechanics weren't even taught well. The gallery and final area of the game felt really refreshing. Some of those puzzles had me really enjoying my time. The former took the familiar mechanics for a spin but got close to overstaying its welcome with a heap of puzzles that have the player guess at what the puzzle even is rather than reasoning through the then simple solution. With the single exception of the god forsaken Owl, I never had to consult a guide to solve any of the game's 400+ puzzles. Overall Taiji is a great game for a weekend if its on sale. But even at that discounted price tag, there are better puzzle games out there. Taiji is beautiful in its world but mostly unimaginative in its puzzles and left me wanting to replay other greats rather than spend more time with it.

Ok so it does scratch the itch. There's the new-age vibe. There's the inference-based learning. There's the subtle, environmental clues. There's the overall challenge. I wholeheartedly recommend it to the puzzleheads out there. Some caveats: there is a heavy emphasis on spatial logic in Taiji's grid-based puzzles. The procedural brain-twisters of Baba Is You seem a more apt comparison than the more relaxed, observational 'being-there' of The Witness, Obra Dinn, Tunic, or Blue Prince. Taiji is clearly a labor of love -- and I wanna love it too -- but it suffers a bit from lack of polish. Some puzzles lack visual clarity and others (in the late-game) feel joylessly cluttered. There are some really good puzzles, but there are others that feel like they were built at random (i.e. solution-first). The free-roam, 'open-world' ethos isn't particularly well-executed either, which leads to potentially bad pacing, depending on your initial direction of conquest. To be clear, I did enjoy Taiji. Its design approach (no hand-holding), its plethora of puzzles (from intermediate to galaxy-brained), its pixel-art aesthetic (fantastic when its not complicating the puzzles!). But it didn't grip me in the way the best of the genre does.
A good logical puzzler game. some caveats: to get the full enjoyment of the game, you have to be willing to seek out every possible puzzle and work things out yourself. there's no real story to speak of, all the enjoyment you derive will be from solving the puzzles themselves. I was tepid on the game when I reached the first ending - it was fine but a bit short. Seeking out the optional puzzles and the 'true' end nearly doubled my playtime and left me feeling very satsfied. the puzzles here are all pencil puzzle styled grids, no rules explained, the kind where you have to figure things out for yourself. sometimes it's frustrating and unclear what the answer to something is, but you have to be willing to wander around and look for other places, there's usually a section with easier puzzles that let you understand the rules. there were a few times i felt rug-pulled by the game getting sneaky with the mechanics and trying to trick me. however, once the game stops being obscurantist with its rules, the late game puzzles are very satisfying - you can always work out a path logically, but it's usually not trivial to do so. there's obviously heavy inspiration from The Witness, however, I think the formula doesn't work quite as well in 2D, you don't have the immersive aspect of exploration, and environmental puzzles are all pretty trivial. I know some didn't like the pretentiousness of The Witness, but without the audio recordings and videos this game feels a bit bare - there's this somewhat big world but there's nothing to interact with in it, nothing to really find. the music is very nice though. still, it's a relatively compact game that can be gotten through in a reasonable amount of time, while building on its puzzle mechanics to create something satisfying.
Perfect puzzles to overload your brain for 200%. Child of the Witness
this game witnessed me
有无相生 优雅困难的解谜游戏
i would say this game is better than the witness but some people may disagree
小巧惊艳👍
The Witness(-lite), but it's 8-bit. What's not to like.
