Edit: Sadly abandoned and effectively no playerbase. If you want to play a game like Tetris Attack again I do highly recommend to look up Panel Attack instead, which does have a decent amount of active players. (not on Steam) tldr: great game, cool devs, great community around it, beginners beware. Tip: while searching for a match you can go back to title screen and enter training mode while staying in the match queue! Sidenote: Instead of wishlisting you could also buy now and wait for the mentioned features, as the price will increase with content updates. Longer version: You might remember games like Tetris Attack or Pokémon Puzzle League, Super Plexis is basically that but with good online capability and cool customizable difficulty in custom games. There are some small gameplay tweaks which make the game feel slightly different and a lot of good content is still in the works, hence Early Access. Now I'll suggest if you should buy the game in its current state or not for three types of players:

"Pros": You played similar games a lot in the last few months and want more panel action? Then this is an insta buy. There is good competition, cool people and with max pressure and gravity boosted up in custom lobbies your games suddenly don't last 15 minutes like in casual matchmaking.
Returning players: You played Tetris Attack, Pokémon Puzzle League or maybe even Panel de Pon in your youth but forgot all about it in the meantime? Then buy it if you are here for the raw gameplay and are ready to probably get stomped until your muscle memory comes back. If you want to slowly get back in without all the hardships I suggest wishlisting until more single player content is implemented so you can get ready for online play with that.
Beginner: You have never heard about the above mentioned games but think the game and gameplay looks cool? Your way of thinking is good but I'm gonna be honest, I suggest wishlisting aswell until more single player content is completed so you can get ready for online play with that. in my 15h played up to now (and many more to come) I have met one single person in casual matchmaking that was a total beginner. Most people mostly know what they are doing, and as a newbie you won't stand a chance as the single player content (only training mode currently) does not prepare you for all the other folks.
I have been following this game since 2016 when it was a Kickstarter project and am VERY glad that it has came to Steam! It basically plays like ye olde Tetris Attack(Panel de Pon in Japan) and you execute combos and chains to defeat your opponent in Vs. and either score high or just play to your heart's content in single player. As of this writing, it's in a VERY early alpha so there WILL be bugs. I've accepted that and from what I played, it plays really well. I can't wait to see the coat of polish this game will sport in a year's time! Also, it's very smart to buy now, because the price will increase as development ensues, so just think of making a small investment!
Even though this is an early version of the game it is SO fun and addicting! I love that you can play with friends too. I'm pretty new to the action puzzle game genre, but I still really enjoy this game, even though I definitely need to train more. Can't wait to see what they add to the game as they go!!
This game has a lot going for it. The rollback netcode works extremely well, with no delay, stuttering, missed inputs, or anything of the sort. The game is very responsive to inputs, which is important in the puzzle fighter genre, and has a very solid in-game UI to show exactly what is happening. I especially like the pressure gauge that tells you when you're about to lose the game. What sets this game apart from other puzzle fighters, outside of the top notch netcode, is the sheer number of options you have. You can change how fast your blocks rise, the number of different colors of blocks, how fast the blocks fall down, as well as the length and width of the playing field. That gives the player a ton of options to customize their games and experiment with different formats. At the time of writing, the game is very early access. Aside from the custom game options mentioned above, all you really have is online matches and a single player practice mode. Furthermore, their doesn't appear to be a particularly large playerbase for the game, so you will likely need to bring some friends along to play the game with you. That being said, this game has very real potential. If you're in the market for a panel swap style puzzle fighter (think Pokemon Puzzle League) and have some friends to bring along, I highly recommend this game.
Fun as hell, I just need to get good at it lmao

my favorite game growing up was pokemon puzzle league for anyone looking for a good single player experience playing that game i recommend you get a emulator with some shader you can find on the internet thsi game is basically the exact same thing without any single player whatsoever will defenitly harass my friend to buy it when it's on sell tho
It's Tetris Attack/Panel de Pon/Puzzle League on Steam. What more do you need?
It's like playing tetris attack without all the cool sounds effect. Would be nice if default match settings would be 2 out of 3 games. PROS - Play with multiple friends at once (up to 4 players ffa or 2v2) - The "state" of the current game is just like tetris attack multiplayer. CONS - Controller support via JoyToKey - Have to "leave game" after each match - Single player experience is lackluster (only training mode) - Game feels abandoned If you want to have a better experience, go play Panel Attack
