SUMMERHOUSE isn't really a game in the traditional sense, it's more like a tiny digital sandbox where you can relax and build cute little houses. There aren't any goals or challenges, just four cozy environments and a bunch of building pieces to mess around with. You can also unlock a few secret objects by combining different items, which was a fun little surprise. It does exactly what it sets out to do, and I honestly enjoyed just zoning out and building for a while. The art style is gorgeous, the soundtrack is lovely, and the whole thing has a really peaceful vibe. My only real complaint is that I wanted more. More building styles, more color options, and especially the ability to rotate objects so you can make every side of your little houses look nice, even if you can't fully see them. Either way, it's a charming little sandbox builder that's perfect if you just want to relax for an hour or two.
When I was looking for a fresh breeze during the summer, I came across this little game where you can build a small house. It's not just placing brick by brick; it also offers unlockables when placing the right items next to each other. So, while building, once in a while, a small surprise might pop up, and you have cute birds or people around your built space, which you can then use to place them wherever you want. For creative people, it probably offers a decent amount of items and options to build, but I think there could be a bit more to it. All in all, a good way to relax and enjoy your own created spot.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
Sinopsis

SUMMERHOUSE is a little breath of fresh air whenever I want to just my creativity build a relaxing little space. There isn't any goals or really objectives to complete in this small game, unless you are trying to find the secrets that you can unlock through combining things. What I like: * I LOVE the replay build mode and watching everything pop up so I can see all my hard work * The sceneries available are really relaxing and cozy * No stress gameplay that is easy to pick up and spend a few minutes of my time What I wish were different: * I really want more items in the game, I do find it to be a little limiting in what spaces you can build, but since it is a very small game, I do understand the restriction.
Very finicky controls, lots of bugs. I wouldn't exactly describe it as relaxing.
the art is pretty good. the animations are nice. the atmosphere is amazing. all in all a great little game thats great for when youre anxious or need something nice and cozy and casual. EXCEPT, that i feel it is a little TOO small at times. while this game does promote creativity with its limited variety of windows and various other items. it still feels like its a bit too limiting sometimes. for some people this may not be an issue, which it isnt for the price, but i suppose i just prefer more variety in windows and doors. shrug. OH and the cursor is buggy on controller (ps5 controller), that too should be fixed but thats the only major issue i noticed. otherwise the game itself is ok. but if i were to buy it before i knew about it id get it at a discount.
If this was a more recent release all my cons for the game would be understandable; only 5 types of very small worlds, extremely limited list of building materials/decor to use in the sandbox, and lots of game bugs where the smallest movement or shift makes the structure clip or not look right. Beyond exploring it briefly and building my first two houses, I don't think I'm going to load this game up again unless it had a big game update. That said - do really enjoy the style and loved the hidden unlock part of the game so if they expanded it, I'd be happy to revisit. As it is 3-4 building materials just doesn't feel truly sandbox
