About
SUBSUMED is a short to mid-length horror game about cave diving. Crawl through a dark, wet, winding cave as you look for 3 missing divers. Find scattered remnants of their descent as you find yourself pushing further and further into the unknown. You never know what's hiding behind each turn.
A linear, slowly paced horror experience.
Auditory focused psychological horror.
Claustrophobic and uncomfortable locomotion. Slow turning and crawling means anything could be lurking behind you.
A tense experience with limited sight range. Your flashlight only extends up to a few feet, anything could be in front of you.
A first playthrough clocked in at around 30 minutes - 1 hour in playtime, with multiple endings and various things to explore that allows for replayability.
Crawl from a first-person perspective throughout the cave. No traditional movement binds are present, you must manually drag your cursor to pull yourself forward.
Don't get lost. Use whiteboards to mark areas you've explored, as well as anything else you might find. They are your main tool for navigation, and are paramount to the outcome of your rescue. Use them wisely.
Document anything you may find. Do not hesitate to pull out your camera and snap a photo of anything you find irregular. If a diver, for any number of reasons, cannot be retrieved, document what remains.

i liked it :3 the jumpscares GOT me and it was unique
Reminds me of Rodland of Pipes if it was slow burn instead. It's good. There is some great replay-ability to be had in the endings. Also, whiteboard mechanics were the best idea in this game. It makes your run feel personal.
The only thing I don't like is that, throughout the game, there isn't actually a threat...I think. If the game were to get more updates, or if the developer releases another game, I think having a threat appear after a certain amount of progress or time passed would add to replay-ability and fear (even after beating the game).
I really like this game, short and sweet. I think things escalate at an effective pace, it's already pretty unnerving just to get lost
