Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Jul 31 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Stranded, developed by Peter Moorhead and published by Curve Games, is an experimental adventure game that emphasizes atmosphere, exploration, and narrative interpretation over conventional gameplay mechanics. Released in May 2014, the game immerses players in a hauntingly desolate alien world, creating a sense of isolation and wonder that lingers long after the experience ends. Its minimalist design, both in visuals and mechanics, invites players to engage with the environment in a contemplative and personal way, making it as much an interactive art piece as a traditional game. Players begin Stranded by awakening from cryostasis aboard a crashed spaceship on an unfamiliar planet. There is no dialogue, tutorial, or explicit guidance, leaving players to navigate the barren landscapes independently. This lack of direction encourages observation and experimentation, as the alien environment itself becomes the primary source of narrative. Enigmatic structures, mysterious creatures, and subtle environmental cues hint at a larger story, prompting players to piece together the planet’s history and the circumstances surrounding the crash. The absence of combat or overt objectives shifts the focus entirely to exploration and discovery. Visually, Stranded employs a pixel art style that is deceptively simple yet highly effective in conveying mood. The muted color palette, combined with the stark and often empty landscapes, reinforces the themes of isolation and desolation. Each screen feels carefully composed, guiding the player’s attention without explicit prompts. Complementing the visuals is an ambient soundtrack that adapts to the player’s exploration, enhancing the contemplative atmosphere and deepening the sense of immersion. The sound design works in tandem with the visual cues, providing subtle feedback and emotional resonance throughout the journey. The game’s minimalist approach, while innovative, may not appeal to every player. Without traditional gameplay elements such as puzzles, combat, or explicit objectives, some may find the experience lacking in challenge or direction. The deliberate pacing and limited player agency can feel restrictive, and the game’s brevity may leave those seeking extended content or deeper narrative arcs wanting more. However, for players willing to embrace its experimental design, these very limitations become strengths, allowing the environment and atmosphere to take center stage. Stranded excels in creating a deeply personal experience, encouraging players to slow down and reflect as they traverse the alien world. Each discovery and environmental detail can be interpreted in multiple ways, resulting in a narrative that is unique to each playthrough. Its strength lies not in conventional gameplay but in its ability to evoke emotion and provoke thought, inviting players to engage with the unknown in a meaningful way. Overall, Stranded is a compelling example of experimental game design, offering a meditative and visually striking journey into a mysterious world. Its emphasis on exploration, atmosphere, and player interpretation sets it apart from traditional adventure games. For those open to unconventional storytelling and minimalist gameplay, Stranded provides a memorable and thought-provoking experience that lingers long after the player has left the alien landscapes behind.
