I used to love this game, but I cannot support Paradox's new love of generative AI. It has massive environmental costs, and takes work away from real artists, voice actors, sfx artists, animators, etc. I really hope they reverse this, and I'll delete this review if they do, but I cannot continue to play the game while they're doing this.

Too many broken DLC that costs the same as an entire game each, with at least one including AI assets. More of a platform to sell DLC than a game, just like everything paradox publishes.

On the official Paradox Discord server, community representatives explicitly harassed users with profile pictures of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, made defamatory claims against the founder of Türkiye, and banned players who objected to this conduct. Turkish people has a deep respect for our founder of the Republic, and we condemn Paradox Interactive. I cancelled all my subscriptions, and I will never ever purchase anything from Paradox until an official apology. It is deeply concerning that Paradox Interactive allows its official representatives to display open hostility and discrimination toward a dedicated portion of its global player base. Even genocidal monsters like Stalin, Netenyahu pictures are widely visible, but Paradox thinks a globally respected historical figure should be banned. I condemn this open racism against Turks.

Used to be a very good game, every update makes it worse.

Game has become extremely bloated and they keep adding useless functionalities to justify their predatory business practices with DLC nobody needs or wants. Game was ready 10 years ago, let it go. Make new games. You are just making it worse. I have been playing Paradox games since Europa Universalis, so it has been a while. Stellaris is one of my most played games. It used to be good. Then "investors", "executives" and "marketing" swooped in, installed predatory business practices, digital colonialism, nickel and diming customers to death with useless DLCs and all the other crap. Cant suggest anything from predatory company like this. Fix yourself or die.
