Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.57/day in the week to Sep 12 → 1/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The rest mechanic is a massive turn-off. Some people have tried defending this, but I fall within the group that sees this as an arbitrary time-wasting mechanic with the unsuccessful attempt at forcing you to diversify your party and utilize each character. Again, I understand the intention fine, but I think this is just a poor way to execute that intention. I like the convenience of the first game by comparison as I can simply start up the game and get going on a mission without dealing with things like this. Regardless of how you feel about the rest mechanic, $30 feels pretty overpriced and I would encourage you to wait for a decent discount before buying.

Fun action puzzle game. Artwork is beautiful, the music is fun. My playtime (43 hours) is a single run through of all levels on normal difficulty. Well worth your time!
The Steamworld games are a joy to play. This newest, and probably last game is improved and polished in every way.

I didn't really like SteamWorld Heist, but I played it because I liked SteamWorld Dig and Dig 2, and while I stuck with, and beat SteamWorld Heist, I actually liked SteamWorld Heist 2. There are some obvious quality of life changes (QOL) between the two games, and 2 is just a heck of a lot more fun.
Great sequel! At first I missed the simplicity of the first game, but once you get the hang of it this one really adds a lot more choices and variations. I also like that the sub exploration itself is a minigame with exploration hidden treasures. One of the very few turn-based games that I really like, and it is a great change and a contrast to most other stressing real time games. I can find myself spending almost as much time planning a mission, with set-up of characters, cogs, utilities and weapons, as I do on the mission itself. This gives many joyous hours! Highly recommended.
My first Steam World game. And I feel like I have been missing out. I'm not sure if this is the best of them but it is incredible and I am absolutely going to keep playing it. I cannot stand having a bot go down on a mission. Minus a star? Not on my watch. Time to try again.
The core gameplay of Xcom But You Control If You Hit Or Miss is still excellent
