SteamVR

This is a very good interface for using VR. Personally, I use the Meta Quest 3 via Steam Link, and the headset’s built-in interface is rather rubbish, whereas the Steam interface does exactly what it’s supposed to: it offers good functionality and accessibility, without being intrusive. The only downside is that it would be nice to have more customisation options for this shell, the options available are good, but more granular tuning would also be welcome. It’s clear that SteamVR is being continuously updated and improved. Given that Valve is set to release its own headset soon, we can expect this interface to get even better in the future.

I’ve got hundreds of hours sunk into this so I might as well drop a review (if you can even call it that) and this includes Steam Link VR too, which is what I use to play wirelessly on my Zuckercu*k Quest 2/3 When this software first dropped it was janky as hell, but give valve some credit, they've patched this into pure gold over time, It's gotten to the point where I don't even touch the native meta vr app anymore. I don't even bother firing up virtual desktop (honestly just because I'm a lazy fu*k who can't be arsed to launch a whole separate program just to get into games) now I just boot up steam link vr directly and jump straight into the vr The latency is practically non existent and it's snappy with whatever I'm playing. It rarely ever disconnects, and on the off chance it does, it's usually because my router is absolute dogs*it, not because of steam link or steamvr I actually really like the sofware, hope they keep polishing this until it becomes the standard for wireless pcvr
