Its fine
I'm not exactly sure how to score this game? It has a lot of good going for it actually. But im not sure if the good outweighs the bad. My actual disappointment is that you don't actually travel or explore. It's more of a menu simulator. But the potential is there? The other thing is that the "World" is big. But feels really empty. I actually like the base building aspect in this game more than fallout 4 (which i hated actually lol) Vehicles are cool. I think maybe player agency also feels lackluster. I still dont understand why i should be doing anything at all. But i am actually having fun and at the end of it all i suppose thats what matters. Loading and Menu navigation is where i feel i am spending my time and that was my ultimate killer for another game I loved Anthem. I hope future patches fixes these core issues.
现在竟然意外的好玩,已经可以是fallout4上位替代了
i played a little but it looks very good
I'm not a fan of paid mods, and the fact that all Bethesda games just needs mods, one way or another. So, getting this on sale is a must just for that alone. But I am glad that I still bought this game. I was on the fence for a long time. I love the look of the game, the "nasapunk" as they coined it. I was dying for a good space game that wasn't too demanding. It's sort of an arcade version of a space sim. Or rather, you can play it that way, and in my opinion, the best way to do so. I do like Elite Dangerous, but it's so dense, that I just never play it. Sort of like wanting to play a tense ww2 rts game; you can go with Call to Arms, so jump into something that's still fun, just not as dense like Company of Heroes. Jumping into Enshrouded instead of The Forest. (Okay, maybe a better comparison, but I couldn't think of the game I usually compare Enshrouded too.) What about Dune Awakening to... uh... DayZ... whatever, you get my meaning. So, yeah, I'm not entirely into it because of the story or characters. I'm there for the space stuff. Like Crimson Desert, I take my thinking cap off and just enjoy what's going on around me. And I'm having a hell of a time.
Just the right amount of scripted story, sandbox, and interesting replayability mechanic. Not for multiplayer game lovers. But if you like working your way through stories and can set personal goals for yourself in an open-ish universe, this has a good amount of playtime going for it.
Returning back to this game after two years really felt like coming home. I forgot how the design of The Lodge, the Tech, the Ships, all of it, is a love letter to exploration. The REV-8 and the new fast travel mechanics really solved a lot of what was annoying for planetary exploration. Some of the worlds still seem dead and uninteresting, sure. Those worlds I just go do the objective and pop off to the next thing. However, sometimes you're in the right place, on the right planet, at the right time to feast your eyes on a planet with the milky way as a backdrop and you completely forget what you were doing to just marvel at it for a moment. The quests are still as enjoyable as ever. Each of the main faction storylines are solid as ever. I absolutely loved the UC storyline so I really couldn't wait to play it again. Even some of the quests that come out of nowhere are surprisingly fun and engaging. Starfield may have been a botched launch but I think it's worth another try on its own merits, but you definitely should pick it back up if you've been jonsing for something different to scratch that skyrim/fallout itch.
