There's not many updates going on in this game and theres not much to do in there. The community is full of aggressive people and there is no moderation whatsoever on the names. I've been targetted many times by people that just can't get over that its just an online game, nothing too serious. They just want to probably see me ragequit or idk, harass me? Ive been a target of abuse and harassment so just dont go there unless you are ready to handle whatever is going on in there.

old game old memories

I've been playing Starblast for about 7 years at this point, and it is despairingly mid. Even though my overall experience has been positive, the state the game is in now will is not deserving of a recommendation. Game modes: There's technically 4 game modes, they are team mode, survival mode, pro death-match, and invasion. Only 2 of them are actually played consistently, those being team mode and survival. Team mode is 3 teams that have to battle each other and win by destroying the other's base. A huge factor to this is contributing: Contributing is giving gems to the base in exchange for currency, but also enabling the team to upgrade to the next ship tier level, which is a big part of winning. This is an issue because mostly noobs play team and the mechanic is not explained properly if at all. So you're typically either painstakingly carrying the team or giving up entirely. Survival mode as a base idea sounds good if it were not for the community: Survival mode spawns you in at level 1 in a free-for-all map. I mostly play this because I can skip the agony of contributing, but survival is not without its own issues: Survival mode servers only last for about 20-30 minutes, after that they close and shrink. If you die it's permanent. Sometimes you're unlucky and get late to the party, preventing you from leveling up enough before eventually being euthanized by another overpowered player aided by the factor of joining earlier. The community: The people who frequent this game are the type to refresh your memory on why God killed almost all of humanity in a flood. They'll steal your gems, bother the hell out of you for no reason, and betray you. As far as I'm concerned this is all intentional and makes the game more fun. The issue I have with is the clans and the seal clubbing. There are many clans tightly intertwined with Starblast, the ones I can name off the top of my head are FV and TSA. I think the idea of clans are neat and acceptable, but it's taken to an extreme on this game. You'll join to instantly discover the leaderboard is full of players with the same 3 characters at the start of their names, they're all level 7 Shadow-X3, and they're all gang banging the hell out of you. There's no current mechanism in place to stop the overwhelming force of clan teaming. So if you're on a clan's bad list (maybe you looked at them wrong or didn't say "Hello" enough), then you have to wait until they're not online anymore. There's also just seal clubbing in general. Survival mode is the worst for this of course, but you can sometimes be cannibalized by your own teammates on team mode if they're feeling evil enough. Once a player reaches level 6 or 7, there's not much they can do but kill others below them, so I don't entirely pin this behavior on the players. I just wish there was a solution to the monotonous task of grinding for 10 minutes, hindered by the confrontation of a trigger-happy Shadow-X3, who decided you were more useful to him as a smoking void in the middle of space. Updates: The game rarely has any updates anymore, and if it does they're not good. They added 2 new ships nobody uses: Toscain, and the H-Mercury (I had to look up the names because I couldn't remember. That's how inconsequential they are). This game is slowly dying, and any effort to revitalize it is not happening through the means of good updates. I continue to play this game with ECP, but if I were you, I'd just play it for free on Starblast.io.
eski bir io oyunu olduğu için küçümseniyor ama çok güzel bir oyun. Oynanışı kolay ve mantığı sade
it is fun but the achievements are a bit to much
