Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Jul 30 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Stacking is an adventure game in which you utilize your status as the base of a stack of Russian nesting dolls to solve puzzles by hopping in other dolls and controlling them. It's not a super difficult game. Puzzles mainly consist of finding the specific doll acting as a key for a door, but like all good adventure games it's carried by its wit, story and charm. The aesthetic is fantastic; The industrial-revolution styled world full of zany dolls is alive with activity. Because all the characters have the same silhouette the artists gave every doll a beautiful and unique painted "face". When combined with the bobbling movement and absurd plots the whole game becomes a surreal combination of the ridiculous played straight. I mentioned that the puzzles are mainly key hunts but I don't think that's inherently a bad thing. First it mostly avoids moon logic: it stands to reason that a space for a type of person requires that type of person to enter. Second because the keys are characters, and the characters are so colorful it encourages the player to see and enjoy the writing, art and interactions. Stacking is an oft overlooked part of Double Fine's gameography which is a pity since it's a very fun and unique game. I recommend it highly.

Um jogo de puzzle bem interessante.
An interesting puzzle game if you don't intend to 100% the game. If you do, it's easy to do, but it can be a bit boring. I only bought this since I played the demo in my childhood. It's a puzzle game that does require SOME thinking and rewards you if you find all methods to solve the puzzle (a complete canvas). It's a pretty wholesome plot as you're the youngest member of the family, saving not only your siblings but other children from unpaid child labor. The game is a bit wonky, as when I opened the settings to change my resolution, the game crashed three times. On one of the levels, I had to reopen my game because one doll refused to stack. The DLC, one method for a challenge, was a bit wonky as the doll would just run away or be out of reach.
ya is fun and good memories tied to it. Has your brain connect wires to your surroundings. Sometimes the solutions are tricky but other times, talking to nearby npcs gives you the answer straight up. Game will sometimes freeze on you, but that's usually an indicator that you've been playing for too long and need to go outside. Overall good game, fun mechanics, love the story and the dialogue.
'Stacking' is a highly imaginative adventure game that stands out for its unique aesthetic and clever central mechanic based on Russian matryoshka dolls. Set in a charming, vintage-industrial world, the gameplay revolves around "stacking" into larger dolls to inherit their unique special abilities, which are then used to solve environmental puzzles. This layer-based approach to problem-solving is both intuitive and rewarding, encouraging players to experiment with different doll combinations to find multiple solutions to a single objective. The silent-film presentation and whimsical art style give the experience a distinct personality that is both nostalgic and refreshing. However, the game’s relatively short length and low difficulty level may leave seasoned adventure fans wanting more substance. While the puzzles are creative, they rarely require the kind of deep lateral thinking found in more complex titles, often making the experience feel more like a light-hearted romp than a challenging puzzle game. Additionally, the fixed camera angles and narrow environments can occasionally make navigation feel slightly cramped during exploration. 'Ultimately', Stacking is a delightful and artistically polished gem that excels as a cozy, narrative-driven experience, even if its simplicity prevents it from being a particularly meaty challenge.
It's adorable! Simply experimenting with the different dolls is entertaining on its own, and the way their abilities naturally guide you toward solving puzzles makes the whole experience feel playful and intuitive.
Stacking is not the type of game that I would usually recommend, but I think you should at least experience it. Stacking follows Charlie Blackmoore whose family has been taken captive by the evil Baron who enslaves children for work labor. In order to find his family, he needs adventure through different worlds, in order to advance to where his family is being held captive. The storyline is told in silent movie type theater cutscenes, which is an interesting vibe, but it fits perfectly for the type of graphic design and game that this is. The gameplay is where Stacking really makes a unique mark in gaming, though completely unique. Charlie is the smallest of characters in the worlds you will walk around in. Charlies is a Matryoshka doll, the ones that stack into each other from smallest to largest. As you walk around the world, you can jump inside a large doll, eventually allowing you to jump into 5 different sizes of dolls. Each doll type has a unique action that it can take. Some will fart, some will slap, some will scream, and much much more. That is where the puzzle portion comes in. What action do you need in order to pass the puzzles presented to you. The game is actually really small if you think about it. Each world presents about 3-5 different puzzles to solve. If you solve them all at least once, you can finish the level and move on to the next world/level. Or, you can try to find all of the ways in which you can solve the puzzles. Some offer 3 different solutions, while some have 6 varying ways to solve a single puzzle. The game is difficult to find all of the ways, but the game is rather simple in finding at least one way to solve the puzzles since typically the dolls needed to solve the puzzles hang out literally adjacent to where the puzzle is. So it's really up to the player on how long you want to stay around in the game. The graphics aren't great, but they work for the gameplay mechanics and the stacking doll world that it presents. The music is classical and again fits perfectly in the late 1800s early 1900s Baron era and child labor era and it especially works well in the cut-scenes. I found myself not playing through this game the first time I tried it finding it slightly boring and too difficult to find all of the solutions, but after coming back to it and beating the game, figuring out the rest of the solutions was a challenge I was better prepared for. This is not a high recommendation, but definitely I think most puzzle/adventure fans should give this a shot as it offers a unique experience that you most likely won't forget. Plus, it's Double Fine, they make great games and this one is definitely wearing their artful touch for sure.
Mediocre.
