Spirit City: Lofi Sessions

Great productivity game, really helps me stay on track. We need a MULTIPLAYER, if not massive multiplayer online version of this game!

While this is a great game overall, there are some things that feel just... Wrong. My review is mostly negative due to the character customization constraints in a game like this. You don't have to agree with it. In character customization, it's hard to make your character feel either properly feminine or properly masculine. The feminine option has wide shoulders and there isn't a great deal of customizable clothes to make it feel feminine. All face options other than the default feel uncanny valley (And all options also change the nose texture and the whole shape, most looking awful), there are no viable eyebrow option that feels feminine other than the default one, the clothes just make the body looks manly. Also, the hand is BIG with no option to change. For a masculine character, it feels the same way that Heartopia male characters feel. Eyebrows feel overly big for the male eye options, with no option to make them smaller. You can't make it feel either too 'anime' nor too 'realistic', you can only be a weird in-between. There also aren't that many options to make it feel more unique than the bland every day clothes. On the topic of clothes, it feels like they all could have customizable colors. That would make it feel like you have a wider variety of choices, but you can only customize a select few, with no option for patterns like the ready-made options do. Also, there are no options for long skirts, or more interesting looking pants, etc. On the topic of hair, the prefab-type choices feel really wrong. You can't mix parts of the hair, so you're forced to use the one-piece models. It's really hard to make your hair feel unique or the exact way you'd like (using a specific side hair, a specific front hair, back hair, etc, without being limited to just one single piece) Other than that, it's quite nice. The music selection is good, the activity options are good, the house customization is awesome. I don't use the timers, pomodoro etc, since that doesn't work well for me. But the options are there and seem quite handy for those who do use them. But my review is still negative for how it gives a bad taste on the mouth due to the customization options being so limited in a game like this.

The game was fantastic but since Sept/Oct. 2025 streamers have been getting copyright streaks and streams suspension on YouTube (problem we didn't have before). Be aware if you are planning to use this game to stream coworking that the situation is getting worse and the customer service is terrible now (I have the feeling is after the software was acquire by LoFi Girl). New DLC's are coming out, everything looks awesome but it is not stream friendly anymore (for personal use it works wonderful though). I hope at least the customer service goes back to what it was and emails start to be answered. I sadly have to go from a recommended to a not recommended in my review to streamers. I went thru all the process with them of sending my channel for whitelisting and filling all the documentation they sent still nothing changes.

Spirit city: Lofi sessions is one of those games I got trying to gaslight myself into thinking I needed to finally get productive. But as it turns out, productiveness comes from within, not from a game. That said, did Lofi have some cool options! You can decorate your own virtual bedroom and assign your character tasks. If you are reading in real life, you can for example make your character read too. And of course you can dress said character and with tickets you can buy new stuff for your room and your avatar. Lofi also has this cool planner where you can enter tasks and set timers for. For example, I used to set timers when to walk the dog, so I wouldn’t forget. Or would for fun to set timers to try and see if I could write 5k words within 10 minutes. Definitely no biggie for a yapper as me, but with time pressure under it seemed like nothing really sticked. Anyhow: I think if you have inner discipline mastered and can commit to your own goals, Lofi will only help you master this skill. Even if you have the attention span of a potato like me, it can help planning, but as I said, this must also come from within. Lofi is a tool to work with, not a solution to undiagnosed ADHD issues, I found out. (I got the diagnosis a few months after beginning this game)) But alas, we degress: The best part gotta be the spirits. These little adorable fellas you unlock through hints (or the steam guides if you’re stuck) and collect them! One is hiding in the fireplace, others only come at special times (you can luckly set this) or when its raining (you can also set this) so have fun collecting them! DLC: Another game that added dlcs without achievements. Another GOAT. I hate it when games add dlc with achievements to hold me hostage to it. The DLC looks cute, has new spirits and activities and rooms but I don’t own them, so…cannot say much! OVERRAL: Cute spirits, adorable outfits and cozy rooms. This planner and game is a fun addition to the collection, but keep in mind what I said: If you are bad at planning, no this game won’t fix this xD. The Bad:

该有的都有且效果不错。一个小问题：有些衣服啊发型啊装饰可能再精美一点会更好，每次换外形都是对审美的鞭笞和挑战啊。

Jogo relaxante e bom para produtividade, gostei da personalização do personagem e do ambiente, e também dos Spirits desbloqueáveis. A trilha lo-fi e os sons ambientes são bem agradáveis, e as ferramentas de foco e tarefas o tornam realmente útil para estudar ou trabalhar enquanto ele fica aberto Ideal se você pretende relaxar, focar ou só quer deixar um lo-fi ao fundo, Recomendo bastante :)
