Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.71/day in the week to Aug 28 → 5.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Spellmasons is a turn-based, tactical roguelike where you use your wit to blend spells and create new combinations. You can play solo or with friends in online co-op!
The Spell System is deep and powerful: spells alter each other to allow for tons of creative possibilities. For example: When you cast "Swap" on an enemy, the next spells in the combo will target your original location that you teleported away from so you can link nearby enemies together and follow up with a powerful damage spell that dispatches all of them at once!
Spellmasons rewards variation and creativity: spells get more expensive as you use them, and less expensive as turns pass, so you are encouraged to try new strategies often.
Work together with your friends in online co-op. Save each other from near death or accidentally blow up each other!
Spellmasons features a unique “Faction-based” turn system where you and your friends can take your turn at the same time to keep the action going.
The Rune system adds a whole new layer to your magical potential by enhancing and specializing your magic. If you want to be a Contagious Plague Mage who carries around curses so you can infect enemies wherever you go, you can do that. How about a necromancer who creates copies of himself whenever he teleports and has a random chance to resurrect any enemy that he kills to fight for him? Yup. The possibilities are endless.
Champion-ranked enemies provide an extra special challenge. They have modifiers such as “Growth” which makes them become stronger over time so you need to dispatch them quickly or “Slime” which gives them the ability to clone themselves. Champions will make you think beyond your favorite strategies and come up with something new.
Find clever ways to push beyond your maximum mana to pull off ridiculously powerful spells.
Some spells combine in powerful and unexpected ways and the Discord community is always discovering new secrets.
Spellmasons is a thoughtful, challenging, deliberate turn-based experience. Take your time, think creatively, and watch all of your plans unfold just like your diabolical little heart intended!

Literally better then most AAA games that are out or have come out in years. That was even before you let the community mod the ♥♥♥♥ out of your game. I love it here keep it up!

super cool solo dev apparently, super nice game, with lotsss of combinations and ways to play the game. I love the approach by the dev to have most priority on the game mechanics. Much love and thanks for such a banger of a game for such a good price!
I have played Spellmasons exclusively in 3 and 4 player, so keep that in mind. The Good: - This game is a great fantastic spellcasting sandbox. The spells available cover pretty much the who spectrum of things you could think of a wizard doing in 2D space, and it really lets you combine effects in ways that feel novel and genius, yet quite intuitive. - The character classes add silly extra dimensions to the game and playstyle without messing with the core spellcrafting mechanic. Some definitely feel more extreme than others, but there's more testing to be done on that front. - Spells are super readable and clear, and I don't feel like I have to reread things too often. The majority of the spell art is very clear, even when shrunk down for your hotbar. - Assembling spells in different orders and seeing the different outcomes is very satisfying, and is the main thrust of the tactics layer, assembling useful spells that accomplish the most with the least amount of resources. - The music is surprisingly good. I don't know if it's composed, or royalty free, or what, but it's definitely the right vibe for the game, and really surpasses what my expectation is for games of this development scale. - The way mana costs scale within a turn and between turns is really cleverly handled. Spell spamming has an additional cost, so there is a fun balance between how hard you play this turn and how it might effect next turn. - Multiplayer is handled very well. There is basically zero jank because it pauses everyone else's action when another wizard takes an action. It's all quite cleverly handled! The less good: - The tactics layer is fairly barebones. Maybe this could be more of a multiplayer thing? It seems like setup in a corner and explode everything within move+attack range seems to just work in most situations. Most zones don't have that much cover, some enemies ignore cover anyhow, and terrain has a very minimal effect on gameplay. - Lack of enemy variety. This kind of relates to the previous comment. Enemies just don't have a lot of interesting abilities, so there isn't much to strategize around. How about enemies that charge in and explode, enemies that strike with area attacks in preset patterns, enemies that create cover. More ground effects in general sounds good to me. - Game balance favours leaning into damaging as many targets as much as possible, and everyhing else is secondary. Curses, and to a greater extent, blessings are far more costly, despite rarely being strong enough to break the game. Aside from enhancing damage against a target, or freezing them, you'll never be better off spending mana on non-damaging spells. - This is a small nitpick, but the colour palete is just exceptionally bright. It's a little much for me. I think to some degree, the lack of balance is what makes Spellmasons a lot of fun, but that does mean if you're looking for a gritty or puzzling experience, like Into the Breach or XCOM, this won't scratch that itch. All that said, it's a great game, and has been fun to play with friends! There are some nifty emergent mechanics and fun interactions between spells, but I will always welcome more unexpected outcomes and weird interactions. I don't know if it'd be an expansion, or a whole new game, but I would love to see this game evolve to feel a bit more tactical, and a bit more fine-tuned. Well done, Jogamedev. Keep making cool stuff!
