amazing game.
So far, this is the kind of game I've been missing in my life for many years. I terribly miss the games I grew up too back in the 80's and 90's when games actually made you use your brain. I hate the ARPG's today compared to ARPG's back in the day. This game so far brings back that nostalgia. I love the challenge. I love that there isn't 10 freakin million weapons and armor dropping off every mob. I love that there isn't any map, making you actually use your memory. I love the fact that you're NOT just going to blow through fights which makes todays ARPG's very tedious and boring. You have to strategize fights making you use common sense and creativity. Can't wait to see how this turns out in the end. I'm very hopeful for this game. I know this is early access and is going to have bugs and performance issues, but please keep working on them. This game has a lot of potential and very excited to see the end game. Loving it so far. Great Job so far guys/gals. Please don't change the way your going and cater to these nerds saying.... It's too hard! There's no maps! I keep dying! Waaaaaa! Let them go play the trash out there today that caters to their simple brains. Like Diablo iv or something. Please keep going in the direction y'all are heading. Us GenX'ers grew up to these kinds of games. Thank you for bringing back challenging games without over complicating them. (Keeping them simple with tons of re-playability) This game reminds me a lot of Divine Divinity mixed with Baldur's Gate (Dark Alliance) 2 amazing games.

The game is great. I thought I'd dislike the lack of a map, but it actually makes the game more enjoyable for me, using the coins and carefully tread around the dungeon is really amazing, not knowing exactly where you are adds to the atmosphere of the game, the fact that you've never been in the dungeon and there's no real way to map the place makes sense to me personally. But at the same time it can become tedious, sometimes you'll be running in circles trying to find a door for which you didn't have a key but now you have that key, but you forgot where it was so you spend an hour trying to find that door, again, it makes sense, you are in the absolute dark and you should not be able to easily find your way around, but it can be a downside to some players, once you get used to it is really not a big deal and for the millionth time, it makes sense. When you start the game and don't know much about the enemies and how to properly fight them, the game can keep you on edge (and you will die many many times), but when you understand the game mechanics and the enemies patterns - also as you upgrade your gear - the game becomes easier, which I find engaging, because progression has meaning, you don't become a god, and if you fight against more than 3 enemies you're still in big trouble and can be killed, so it makes you somewhat plan your engagments agains the enemies. I struggled with the saving system just because I'm not used to it (as a Skyrim player), but I ended up liking it, I have to plan my way trought the tiers, clear one sector, and return to rest, or maybe I got injured so I need to rest and heal my injuries becuase getting into combat in those conditions might get me killed, giving the fact that now I'm at a disadvantage. That makes the game feel "bigger" like my character is actually surviving days or maybe weeks there and I cannot just go around speed running every tier of the dungeon, I don't know I just find it engaging. I've learned to put gameplay before graphics but the game looks really good, maybe the animations could improve a little but nothing that would make me say that it looks bad at all. Sound desing is amazing, it's been a long time since I felt nervous in a game, not knowing what might be lurking in the dark paired with the eerie sounds is really engaging, I check every corner and keep getting surprised in the dark when an enemy jumps me. Lorewise I personally like the history of the game, of those who originally inhabited the dungeon, and the mistery of what might happened there, what is this threat that stalks the dungeon and the fact that is not a new or recent danger, I really like the kind of lore that the games presents, reminded my a little of the Dwemer in the Elder Scrolls. So, that's my take, I really recommed anyone trying this game, if you don't like a more "hardcore" experience then maybe you'll dislike the game, but I encourage you to give it a shot, it's worth it.
Needs a lock-on mechanic, but otherwise it's pretty awesome in it's current state. Very difficult. My hero's are dying within minutes of entering almost everytime. Had a good run going with a heavy shield, better armor, but I hadn't rested and my game crashed - my cpu fan is disconnected - think it was an overheat issue - that was a bummer as it was my best run to date. All in all there's a lot of promise here, and I love the aesthetic.
Great experience playing this game. I need more!!!!!!!!!
Really awesome game
I am extremely frustrated by playing this game at this stage. And it's because it has the potential to be awesome. The atmosphere is great, visuals, sound everything. I could write pages about it. Playing on highest difficulty is insane but rewarding af. Good job guys! Now the not so good. Horrible unforgivable bugs, even for early access, which totally breaks the experience and wastes my time. A few examples of majors: - Often enough if you get attacked with the crossbow in hand it breaks your gameplay - you cannot switch or use some or all weapons anymore, in-game menu becomes unresponsive, rest doesn't work, you have to kill yourself or reload - this totally breaks your experience, especially devastating on higher difficulties when you put in the time to clear an area to progress, then somebody attacks you and everything is broken and you need to start again - Serious camera movement problems for controller. Ok, i get partial controller support but even on max sensitivity its unreliable which makes the combat often enough impossible, dodging, aiming, moving around the enemies - Black screens when you get defeated and dragged toa creature's den - you cannot see anything, the game is active behind the screen - need to close and restart the game These need to be fixes asap, it's not a big ask and it breaks the fundamental gameplay Also - on highest difficulty (this is a nice to have) it's almost impossible to survive after you get dragged to a creature's den, low life, darkness on you, and often creature is near you at kills you before you can get up...so balance it out. All in all love the idea of the game, the nice bits of story it gives you. Hope to play it some more after major issues are fixed!
