Space Pilgrim Episode I: Alpha Centauri is a cozy little sci-fi RPG where you play a space pilot just trying to do a normal job: take passengers from A to B, don’t ask questions, don’t start interstellar incidents. Naturally, your passengers are the kind of people who treat “public transport” like “confessional booth.” You’re just trying to fly a ship and suddenly you’re listening to: * secrets, * drama, * suspicious plans, * and the kind of backstory that ends with “so anyway, that’s why I can’t go back to that planet.” The game’s charm is in its simplicity. It’s not trying to be a 200-hour epic; it’s more like a nice short TV episode where the writing carries the whole thing. You’ll bounce around locations, meet characters, and feel that gentle “huh, I’m actually invested” creep up on you. And yes, it has that classic RPG vibe where you do a lot of walking… but it’s space walking, so it feels important. I walked into a room and immediately felt like I was about to overhear a plot twist. **Pros:** * Surprisingly fun cast and dialogue * Easy to pick up, relaxing pacing * Great “short story” sci-fi vibe **Cons:** * I became the galaxy’s therapist by accident * I can’t tell if I’m a pilot or a social worker * My ship needs hazard pay 8/10.
