I cannot recommend this game due to many issues in the opening minutes of writing. These issues are detailed below and are concerning both because writing is important in a game like this and because they occur so clustered and early into the game as to cause concern that they recur throughout. -The writing suffers from cliche or trite imagery, metaphor, or word association. Examples like "A flaming wall collapses with a roar", "the ceiling groans, releasing a rain of ash", and "a cry, raw with pure rage" draw from the most immediate, accessible, and dull word pairings and associations. The opening prose is bereft of interesting or thought-provoking metaphor or simile. -The writing suffers from lines that appear to have not been read aloud by the writer. Sentences like "Screams and the crackle of flames surround you, spreading the sound of death" come off clunky and awkward because of the repeated "s" sounds which do not seem to follow any particular rhythm and are not a device employed for intentional effect, such as alliteration. -The writing contains lines which are clear authorial tells, breaking any sense of voice to simply inform the audience of something. Lines like "You miraculously escaped unharmed and the cat seems to be fine." break the tension because they are too on-the-nose and devoid of interesting imagery or texture. -The writing contains strange continuity/believability issues that act as reading roadblocks. The work details the roaring sound of a collapsing wall, but then somehow you can hear echoing footsteps above the cacophony of a housefire? -The writing seems to have a rhythm of adding a descriptor that weakens rather than strengthening the line. For example, "This hiding place proves precarious...The knight finds you with ease". "finds you with ease" could be replaced with something much more impactful and tension-provoking. In this same vein, there are some really weak adverb inclusions that might point to an author not trusting their material, such as "Your maneuver paid off and your attacker collapses heavily". That adverb does not help the sentence; it weakens the entire line. A few prompts later, there is "you run away into the darkness", which is a very weak construction.
This game very clearly models itself after Dispatch, but the polish just isn't there. You will miss the sumptuous artwork, voice acting, and cinematic moments that gave depth to the characters. You will also miss the simple elegance of the dispatching mechanic, sending knights on quests feels comparably hurried and opaque. When your knights fail, you will often struggle to understand why and because the game does such a rushed job of developing the setting, you won't care.
为什么不能攻略弑君者
Very addicting game! Keep playing it on loop and wishing it was longer because i can't get enough! I do wish i could talk to some of the knights more (Like Goberto or Dulahan), i will be waiting for new updates since i don't want to rush the game (already finished it twice in 12 hours) One of the best management games in my opinion, love that rewinding gives you more options and the characters kind of notice something's off!
I fell in love with this one in the demo. I was refreshing the page on release day to be able to get it as soon as possible. I really like this one. There is such an earnest a medieval setting/vibe that ranges from silly to serious and back pretty seamlessly. The strategy-type gameplay reminds me a bit of Dispatch and I like that a lot-- i think it's really fun to build up the knights and try to see what will work for any given quest. the characters are all their own, and very well characterized. there are so many different backstories and hidden paths in this game. i am on like my 3rd of 4th pass and i'm still uncovering so much stuff-- like i just discovered a new knight with like a full backstory that colors a storyline in a fully different way. deeply charming game and a little addicting to be honest.
A fun game about talking to people and sending out your dudes.
Ce jeu est d’une qualité extraordinaire, que ce soit au niveau de la musique, des personnages ou de l’intrigue. Je ne peux que vous le recommander ! Il mérite vraiment votre temps et votre argent.
its a great game and I've genuinely loved it but I've noticed the demon rewind wont work or even just not let you use prior knowledge I've followed guides and found out i was doing things right it was just a genuine game issue the only way it was resolved was starting a whole new save file I'm hoping after a while this issue is fixed as all enjoyment was lost once i realized that this could happen later on soft locking and ruining my playthrough.
