User notice: - Start playing. - Tell yourself, “One last turn.” - Check your clock again: 15 turns and 3 hours later. :-) Why is it so addictive? Because the game is well done. Simple, but with complex branching paths to discover. - Each of your choices matters, sooner… or later. - The story and setting are great: a kind of Arthurian “Knights of the Round Table” world. Immersive, sometimes dark, but with well-written dialogue and a lot of great humor. - And the game design is efficient and addictive, with a fast-paced turn system. Here is what a single turn looks like: 1. Audience: you first listen to requests and complaints, and make decisions that will influence the evolution of your kingdom and the quests that become available. (It’s a bit similar to Reigns.) 2. Quests: then you manage and send your available knights on different quests. But choose carefully who you send where… (They all have their own affinities and traits.) .. and watch the results! All decisions, deaths, and quests can have irreversible consequences, with a lot of different branches… …with lots of twists and surprises throughout your playthrough. (Avoid spoilers and reloading save games!!) Take a shot!
First of all, kudos to the dummies who spoil the final questline of the game in their review without warning, just because they think they got an "unfair" ending. I for one was very satisfied with my experience from beginning to end. My run was mostly wisdom & kindness with a sprinkle of audacity (and 0 tyranny), and the ending i got was perfectly consistent with my actions. The game is clearly deeper than just "pick hippie option = get good ending", but i guess that flew over some people's heads ... Anyway, as for my general opinion on the game, it's a solid 8/10 in my book. I can see the replayability potential, but honestly for me this single run was enough. I engaged with the characters that i found interesting, told some aristocrats to stick it up their butt, and maxed out all my knights, that's it. Character design is good, dialogue is great, has a nice occasional humorous touch to it (as well as some references to popular culture), and the gameplay is pretty much Dispatch but better. I did encounter a bug, where the mission requirements would sometimes not reflect accurately which stats were actually taken into account. I would for instance equip and send a knight out on a mission that displayed Strength/Agility as requirements, but then on the mission end screen, it would instead show Strength/Agility/Charisma, therefore making me lose points (since i had no way to know that the mission required Charisma as well, before sending the knight out). Thankfully this did not make me fail any mission (though it almost screwed me over for the final one, which i cleared with literally a single pixel above the Success line). But besides that, no bugs, and 10 hours of solid enjoyment ! Would definitely recommend to at least give it a try (you will know if you like it or not within the first 2 hours, so if it turns out not to be your thing, you can just refund).
bought this for my girlfriend, she hasn't stopped playing for a week and she's happy would recommend

Can‘t decide who I love the most. The Sovereign or my Knights? Amazing Game. High replay potential. I love it!
Beautiful artwork and character design paired with delicious, emotional (and sometimes very very funny) storytelling. So many paths to go down, so many choices and routes and decisions to make. I've completed one playthrough as of writing this and am immediately onto my second. Obsessed.
