Game is really good musical therapy. A must try for music and fast pace game lovers.
its like if soundodger+ was excellent instead of just good
oh my gosh this ROCKS i haven't even been playing that long and i'm already in love also, i'm dizzy now i have done nothing but spin for the entire duration of this game thus far
This game is awesome (as well as soundodger+)! I bought this because i like rhythm games (i play geometry dash), and also one of my favourite level builders in geometry dash, KrmaL, plays this game a lot too. And yeah after getting soundodger+ and then this game i can say i like it a lot. The gameplay is intense, i was sweating playing the "easy" levels, but its really fun. and the overall design looks cool too. I like how with just a few shapes and colours you can make some really compelling and intriguing levels. the levels perfectly match the theme and tone of their respective songs, to me they feel like music videos for said songs. Also the songs slap btw. But one problem, too expensive. I was lucky i bought soundodger 2 for half the price, but the base price needs to be a little lower, maybe £5? Im just saying, geometry dash has a way more advanced level editor, and the game's like 5 times cheaper than soundodger 2? But aside from that im lovin it !! Cant wait to start making my own levels on here!
Id like to start first with the fact that some of the cons that i will state are fairly subjective however the pros outweight the cons by a mile. The game itself is an upgrade in almost every aspect from the previous one. It runs a lot smoother, it has a ♥♥♥♥ ton of mods that you can modify your session with and all in all just makes playing the previous version of the game kind of useless. However...this is where the subjective parts comes at. The songs and levels that come with the game are really not that great. The music is fairly bland and most of the levels really dont have that many interesting or unique patterns that are fun to play. I was going through them one after another and for the majority of them i was applying the same strategy and it just felt like a chore. There has only been 1 or maximum 2 levels that i have actually enjoyed in this game. I even went back to the first game to see if it was just nostalgia or something but no, the levels and songs in the first game are miles better. However most people play it for the custom levels which are goated so unless you specifically play the game only for the already included songs with it there really is no reason to play the first soundodger. Again, this is fairly subjective but even with that in mind the game has way too many quality of life changes and just all in all more fun stuff than the first one.
