Within 3 hours you've seen everything this game has to offer, after that comes the same ♥♥♥♥ over and over again. The gameplay isn't even remotely enjoyable enough to unlock everything in the game. The game has 22 classes that all play the same, the class mechanics as well as the skill tree are mostly optic and don't change much about the gameplay. The skills are different but the way you scale your damage are still the same. I'd say this is the most monotone and boring game I’ve played in a long time...
No idea what is going on with positive review score, but the game is unbelievably dull. Everything feels the same with very little to vary the builds meaningfully or theorycraft anything cool. This game could have 100 characters and maps and it would still be as dull, without more thought out main gameplay loop.
I didn't expect to get this hooked on Soulstone Survivors, but here I am with around 30 hours already. At first, I thought it would be one of those games I play for a few hours and move on from. But it didn't take long before I kept coming back. The pace just works. It's fast, constant, and you're always doing something. No waiting around, no slow moments. What I like the most is how every run feels a bit different. You unlock new characters, try different skills, and slowly figure out what kind of builds you enjoy. The skill tree adds a lot more depth than I expected. It gives you something to work towards outside of each run, and it feels good to slowly become stronger over time The progression in general is a big part of why I kept going. Even when a run ends, it still feels like you got something out of it. You learn, you unlock, you improve. That said, I think it's fair to mention this before buying: after a while, the game starts to show its limits. The core loop stays the same, and even though builds change, many runs begin to feel similar. If you plan to play for long sessions, it can start to feel a bit repetitive, and the sense of discovery slows down. Overall, it's just a fun game. Easy to get into, hard to put down, and one of those games where you say "one more run" way too many times.
This is probably the best overall survivor like that isn't vampire survivors. Insane amount of content, great graphics, over nearly 500 achievements. It's just so much fun. Lots of depth
I've been playing hoping for some spark of life will come from the game but instead its just the same thing over and over again. Over the top visuals on all skills where you cant see nothing going on. Everything about the game is Boring to say the least.
Very dull. Every run is the same flashy blur. I barely know what the enemies look like (or how varied they are) due to the status condition icons and attack effects. Most enemies and bosses seem to die offscreen before they even get close to me. Lots of implied grinding to improve characters, but no real reason to develop distinct builds (by the time you have 6 abilities, every character is basically the same). Unfortunately, it's closer to a desktop screensaver than a game. Read a book instead.
It got boring. Not sure what it is. I thought the campaign aspect would do something for me, but it doesn't have that addictive flow that I was looking for on top of an RPG-ish campaign.
