About
To play a world in SOUL BACON you must give it a name ...
Unlock all the Glyphs and travel to any world
Names are made of Glyphs, and each Glyph in the name determines some aspect of the generated world.
Bird's eye view of a few of the worlds you can play with just the glyphs "A" and "B."
Each glyph you discover adds to the total number of worlds you can name and visit. Certain upgrades expand the number of Glyphs you can use at one time. Collect all 26 Glyphs to complete the game.
In SOUL BACON, glyphs combine into world names to generate worlds at the players whim. Each world name generates the same world every time. Enemies will be set to follow the same patterns and upgrade choices will be presented to the player in the same order. With replayable worlds you can tweak your choices between each run to find a busted build that fits your play style.
The Bacon in each world is guarded by an elaborate defense system that responds to the player. For example, at the start of the game, each bacon is assigned a defender and an attacker.
Husk defender guarding a Bacon
Eating a bacon forces it's defenders to move to the next closest bacon. Bacons you haven't collected will continue to gain more and more defenders.
Large groups of defenders converge as the game continues
Every 7 bacons, the player can choose a new UPGRADE:

Mission lists can be accessed from the main menu and can be completed to gain new upgrades. Each Glyph you discover adds to the total number of worlds you can visit. Collect all the Glyphs to complete the game.
These notes were found in a derelict craft orbiting the Neptunian moon of Halimede. The cache that contained them opened instantly when I touched it. The majority of what was written disintegrated before my eyes. Left with only scattered fragments, I've ordered them based on my best guess, and present them to you below:
"I have awoken as a pig in a parallel universe. I say pig, but I am more than pig. The pigs of this planet have somehow summoned me here. They call this world and the surrounding universe Ottom. It is a kingdom of pigs."
"If I understand correctly, the pigs on this planet have been paying tribute to an ancient intergalactic warlord known as SIRE SUMS for countless generations. They've told me that to keep the wrath of SIRE SUMS at bay his shrines must be fed with souls. What this means exactly, I'm still uncertain. I have yet to be taken to a part of this sprawling city where a shrine can be viewed."
"The pigs of this planet aren't at home in mud. They are a people obsessed with ritual and to be fair, they've built ..."
"It is written that the shrines are a mythical stone brought from SIRE SUMS'S home planet shortly after he conquered the pigs. It is also written that their delivery method was a bit brutal as they were dropped from his craft onto onlooking crowds below. Where they were dropped they've set, unmoving, unchanging. Reportedly made of impossibly hard black stone that was somehow polished so as to reflect all ..."
"Where the souls of pigs go when they step onto the shrine, no one knows ..."
"Mirror Stone, into you we fall
Mirror Stone, come one, come all"
"As I mentioned yesterday, within the sanctuary proper, the ancient reliefs appear to show humanoid like figures here and there among the pigs. This is odd because there are no humans on this planet, at least that I had seen. Curious, I asked Napoleon about it. He told me that they were "ancient allies lost to time, destroyed completely by SIRE SUMS" but the way he said it struck me as odd."
"Given my new duties and the importance of my mission, I have taken to my training quite earnestly. Tomorrow I will meet the Twilight Ram and I need to be prepared. They have brought me here for a reason. Only I can use the glyphs."
