They really need a 'maybe' option for recommending a game. I like this game, but hear me out... To the Devs: if you see this, is there any way to make the player stop "settling" after you sprint to a spot? In all the games like this I play (and I play so many of them), I run up to a shelf and quickly drop things off before moving on, there's a nice flow state to it, and the one thing that drives me crazy about this game is when you stop running, the shelf you're aiming for is no longer the shelf you're aimed at bc your character lowers itself some (aka "settles"), which is honestly so weird. It really does break the flow of just going from shelf to shelf quickly bc I have to wait for the character to do that weird thing so I can see where it's aiming, otherwise, if I try to quickly set it on the shelf as I'm approaching it, it just falls to the floor bc it wants to settle first. Or at least make it a feature we can toggle off? That alone makes it hard for me to want to continue playing and it's frustrating bc I DO actually want to play it, I just don't want to put up with how much that feature is annoying. Back to the review: this game is brand new so with how games are these days, bugs are to be expected, and this game is no exception. But the dev is putting out fairly frequent updates which I appreciate. Honestly the best thing about this game is just getting to see the design of all the different rubber ducks. Thy are great and so freaking adorable. It's a sorting game and if those scratch your itch, this one *should* be enjoyable for you too. If the issue with the player movement after you run is either fixed or made an option to turn off, I will come back and give this a "yes" for recommendation. It may seem dumb to some to not recommend it off this one thing that's driving me crazy, but if it's the one thing that's significant enough to me that I have to literally talk myself into putting up with it just so I can finish the game, I can't in good conscious say a resounding yes you should get it. I truly hope I can come back and change this to a yes bc I want to support the adorable rubber ducks.

I loved the gameplay, visuals and sounds. But why dont you disclose AI usage?
I gave it a fair shot because I do really enjoy these types of games but there are multiple issues you just can't ignore. 1) Most blatant issue is the ducks named "Little Feather," "Native Warrior," "Seer," "Snake Charmer," and "African Warrior." I think there are a few more that are inappropriate at best and racist at worst. First off, what is a "Native Warrior?" What is an "African Warrior?" You cannot group millions of people into a single category and call it a proper representation of anything. And moreover, the clothing choices are highly stereotypical and racist in nature. Absolutely bizarre choice for models. Second part of this issue, its quite telling that the nations category includes almost exclusively white or paler ethnicities. If you are going to have a section dedicated to nations why only have a select few and then double the models so you're sorting them twice when you could have a far more diverse cast? 2) The doubling of models. Why would I want to collect two rows of the same model? Either have more models or reduce the size of the store? I didn't really enjoy having to spend so much time finding models I thought I had already completed. Seems like such a waste? 3) The controls are just so clunky. Its difficult to place and pick up and even more difficult with the "Find Ducks" ability. Its so bad that is almost impossible to actually pick up the ducks in this mode; makes me not want to use the abilities very much. And the jump seems inconsistent and the crouch is overly dramatic. Why do I need to crouch anyways? Just make it so that there aren't shelves on the bottom. 4) I have heard talks of undisclosed AI usage. Now I want to be very careful about this. As a game designer myself, I would absolutely hate to attach that kind of negativity to another designer than I was not sure had actually used AI. So I think so those talking about the game using AI should carefully consider whether they are absolutely certain the game did in fact use AI. That said, I do think it is telling that multiple people have brought it up. And there are models, particularly the food section, that caught my eye as being oddly designed--but again don't think that's really enough to safely say that the devs did actually use AI, just want people to make an informed decision. Overall, the game is interesting. I really like games like this and I really did want to give it a fair shot and complete a full run before I made a review, but the racist models are just so...blatantly there that its not something that you could give any kind of benefit of the doubt. The dev included "Scottish Warrior" and "Mongolian" warriors which are you know actually countries and at least have an identifiable real connotation, the "African Warrior" is just another example of the homogenization of Africa.

Me encanta el juego de ordenar patitos mientras hablo con mi chat de cada cuando se pajean!, recomendado!
A new generation of shovelware
I really thought every single shelf would be a different type of duck, but instead every type of duck fills two full shelves. So that's half as many types of rubber ducky as I'd hoped. Still, aces cozy sorting game. The abilities are satisfying, the progression was engaging, and what ducks there were, were fairly imaginative and fun. And the ending was delightful! My only real problem with it is mouse sensitivity/acceleration. Even with sensitivity all the way down I often found myself flipped around when trying to turn slightly. So it would be great if the dev could address that
this is the best game ever made. my life was incomplete until i started organising ducks like my sanity depended on it. don't sort your room sort the ducks!!!!!!
