This is another FMV dating sim from east asia, in this case China. There are plenty of these, and they all follow the same format: You spend time with five different girls, and your choices can lead to a loss or gain of affection points. Have the right amount of points with a girl and you can enter their final route. If you don't have enough, you can't access it. Where this game differs is that it's surprisingly generous in the cutoff required to enter a route with a girl in the final chapter. You don't need a high amount of points to unlock their routes, which means the game doesn't require you to replay the game several times to see every scene. I was able to unlock 4 out of 5 girls' routes in the last chapter in my first play through. Had I balanced out my time spent with each girl more evenly, I could have unlocked all 5 routes. This game saves you a lot of replay time compared to other games in the genre (of course you can skip scenes you've already seen and you can also use the flowchart to jump from scene to scene). Spending time with one girl will result in not spending time with another, which affects the second girl's affection points. In other games the cutoff is high, so you pretty much have to replay the game 5 or 6 times, with each playthrough focusing on one or two girls at the expense of others. There are still some hidden scenes dependent on a certain girl having low affection points, which means some replaying is required for 100% completion. I'm not going to summarize the plot. Like with all of these games, the scenario isn't even remotely realistic. The game's plot was enjoyable enough, and the performances from the actors is top notch. There are QTE mini games the game makes you do which are tedious but they give you the option to skip them. For some of these QTEs, failing them is required to unlock an alternate scene, however most of these result in a game over if you fail. But because of the alternate scenes from failing, you pretty much have to intentionally fail every QTE just in case it leads to an alternate scene. My biggest complaint is that the English translation appears to be machine translated. It's quite poor gramatically. The white subtitles also do not have a black outline, so when the text is against bright backgrounds, it's hard to read the subtitles. My advice with these games is to 100% each chapter before moving on to the next. This isn't difficult because you can jump back and forth with the flowchart. This also lets you see the outcome (as far as affection points are awarded) of each path so you can go with the most optimum path for you before moving on. The game has 6 chapters but the first two chapters has no branching at all. You do have options but they only affect affection points and how the current scene ends. It doesn't lead to branching paths for the next scene. This is quite unusual in the genre. I have yet to see a game where there's no branching in a chapter. The game is cheap enough to be good value to recommend. It took me 8.7 hours to 100% this game.

第一次玩真的很难, 有些地方总感觉在拖时间, 我怎么能每次都选中如何伤所有女孩的心了, 我太好了吧 这猪脚一定是个渣中的渣王
⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4/5 Sorry! I Surrounded Beauty! The story is really well made and a lot of fun. I have to say that this game has some really good endings. A few endings could have been removed or made a little better, though. There are also some annoying scene repetitions if you want to reach 100% completion. After seeing the same scenes several times, it can get a little annoying. But if you don't care about 100% completion, this is not a big problem. The game has a nice mix of dating, mini-games, and key items. The mini-games can be skipped if you can't complete them, which makes the game very beginner-friendly. The key items are mainly important for achievement hunters. The chapter system is easy to understand, and I didn't find any bugs in the mini-games. The English translation is also good and easy to understand. The sound quality is nice, and I really liked the small extra sound effects. The background music also fits the game well. It is not annoying and does not cover the dialogue, which I really appreciate. The video quality is also good. Some scenes were a little too dark for my taste, and I felt that a few special effects were not really needed. But this is more of a personal opinion. Characters & Acting All of the character models are great in their own way. They are funny, expressive, and usually fit the situation very well. I never felt like the characters were acting too much or too little. Their reactions felt quite natural most of the time. Yang Jie especially stood out to me. Her acting was really excellent and was one of my favorite parts of the game. Zhou Liuliu also did a great job. She is a strong woman, but she also has a sensitive and softer side. That made her character very interesting to me. And then there is Meng Yourong — an adult and passionate woman with a lot of personality. She is not only beautiful, but also has a lot of charisma and sex appeal. Her character really stayed in my mind. The endings for these three characters were probably my favorites. Yang Jie's ending was a little confusing to me because there seemed to be a time skip in the middle. I chose her during my first playthrough, so I was especially interested in her story, but the time skip felt a little sudden. Liuliu's ending actually made me quite sad. At the same time, I think it was a very good and brave ending. It also fits the story of the whole game very well. This is definitely one of the endings I will remember. Meng Yourong's route is simply a happy dating ending from beginning to end. And honestly, sometimes that's exactly what you want. 😄 Li Yuner and Shen Ruo, the star and the childhood friend, were okay for me. Their acting was not bad at all, but somehow I felt that something was missing with both of them. I don't think they will stay in my memory as much as Yang Jie, Liuliu, or Meng Yourong. I'm not sure if this was because of their stories, their character development, or their acting. It's hard for me to say exactly. Overall Despite some repeated scenes and a few endings that could have been better, I really enjoyed the game. It has a good mix of dating, mini-games, character interactions, and different endings. The music and sound work well, the English translation is good, and most of the characters are interesting enough to make their routes worth playing. Definitely worth playing if you enjoy dating games with different characters and endings.
the plottickin at the end....
Sorry! I surrounded beauty! is a live-action interactive romance game developed by Really Games and published by Yiyuntang, released on Steam on April 10, 2025. Its Steam page describes it as a full-motion video dating simulation in which players step into the role of Chen Mo, a young man at the beginning of his career who is hit by both professional setbacks and a series of emotional entanglements involving several women with distinct personalities. The setup immediately places the game within the increasingly familiar FMV romance niche, but it also gives it a clear identity: this is less a traditional “gameplay-heavy” experience and more a branching relationship drama driven by choices, performances, and replaying scenes to see how different decisions reshape the outcome. What makes the game stand out most is the way it leans into the format’s strengths. Because it uses live-action footage rather than illustrated characters or conventional 3D models, the appeal of the experience depends heavily on whether the cast can sell the emotional tension, awkward humor, and romantic friction that define the story. In that respect, Sorry! I surrounded beauty! works best when it embraces the inherent intimacy of FMV storytelling. Conversations feel more direct than they would in a static visual novel, and even simple scenes gain energy from facial expressions, delivery, and the sense that the player is not just reading dialogue but actively steering real interactions. The result is a game that can feel surprisingly immersive when the performances click, especially for players who enjoy relationship-driven narratives more than mechanical complexity. The title’s public reception also suggests that this character-focused approach landed with a sizable portion of its audience, with Steam tracking showing a strong positive review trend from users. The basic structure revolves around making choices during interactions with different women, gradually opening divergent story paths and revealing more about Chen Mo’s circumstances and the hidden truths at the center of the narrative. This branching setup is essential to the game’s replay value. A single run is relatively short, with outside trackers estimating the main story at around two hours, so the real attraction is not a long one-time campaign but the incentive to revisit scenes, test alternate responses, and pursue different relationship routes. That compact structure can actually work in the game’s favor: it keeps the pacing brisk, reduces downtime, and encourages experimentation without demanding a huge time commitment from the player. Instead of stretching its premise thin, it focuses on offering multiple permutations of romantic and dramatic situations that are meant to be explored over several playthroughs. As an interactive drama, the writing has to carry a great deal of the experience, and this is where the game can feel both appealing and limited. On the positive side, the setup of a young man dealing with career trouble while becoming entangled with several very different personalities gives the story plenty of room for contrast. Different routes can create shifts in tone, from playful flirtation to more serious emotional conflict, and that variety helps keep the branching structure interesting. At the same time, the game seems designed first and foremost around the appeal of its romantic cast and the fantasy of choice-driven intimacy, so players looking for especially nuanced or deeply literary storytelling may find it more straightforward than profound. Its strength lies less in thematic complexity and more in the immediacy of the interactions and the curiosity of seeing where each path leads. The presentation is naturally dominated by its FMV format. Live-action games always walk a fine line: when the production values, cinematography, and editing are strong, they create a kind of grounded immediacy few other genres can match; when they are rough, they can become unintentionally stiff or artificial. Sorry! I surrounded beauty! appears to land somewhere in the enjoyable middle ground, where the core novelty of live-action interaction and the charm of the cast do much of the heavy lifting. The game is not trying to compete with a full television drama in scale or polish, but for players who already enjoy FMV adventures, that is often part of the appeal. There is a low-budget sincerity to these games that can make them compelling in their own way, and this title seems aware that its success depends on maintaining a steady rhythm of scenes, choices, and route-based rewards. One of the more important aspects in a game like this is how meaningful the choices actually feel. Interactive romance titles can easily disappoint if decisions only create the illusion of agency while leading to nearly identical results. Sorry! I surrounded beauty! benefits from the fact that its entire structure is being sold on route variation and character-specific interactions. Even if the branching is not infinitely complex, the promise of multiple relational outcomes gives players enough reason to care about how they respond in conversations. The appeal is not simply “winning” a route, but exploring the chemistry and tension that emerge from choosing one personality over another, being more assertive or more cautious, and seeing how the protagonist’s situation changes depending on those choices. The game is also helped by accessibility and scope. It is a single-player title with no multiplayer focus, and its relatively short route length makes it easy to pick up for an evening session. That lighter commitment is important for this genre, since many players are drawn to FMV romance games less as skill tests and more as interactive entertainment somewhere between a visual novel and a streaming drama. The downside is that players expecting broader systems, demanding gameplay mechanics, or deep simulation elements may come away underwhelmed. Despite the genre tags attached to the game, this is fundamentally a choice-driven narrative experience, and its success depends almost entirely on how much a player values story routes, character appeal, and replaying scenarios for alternate outcomes. Taken as a whole, Sorry! I surrounded beauty! seems best approached as a compact, replay-oriented interactive romance rather than a mechanically rich adventure game. Its strongest qualities are the immediacy of its live-action format, the route-based appeal of its cast, and the ease with which players can jump in, make choices, and explore alternate outcomes. Its weaknesses are those common to the genre: limited traditional gameplay, reliance on the strength of performances and writing, and a scope that may feel narrow if a player is not already receptive to FMV dating dramas. For the right audience, though, those limitations are part of the package rather than deal-breakers. It offers a focused version of exactly what it promises: an accessible live-action relationship story built around branching choices and character-driven replayability. Based on its premise, structure, reception trend, and likely appeal within its niche, it comes across as a solid and entertaining FMV romance title that does not redefine the genre but understands its audience well. Rating: 8/10
If you understand Chinese, this game might be fine for you. However, for me, it's not much fun. The subtitles often go by so quickly that I can't read them completely, and the translation is extremely wonky. Very difficult for me to follow, and often nonsensical. Also, it's all video of real people and places, which I'm not much of a fan of.
Esse jogo é uma obra prima, recomendo demais
It's quite general love story with beautiful girls. Casting in this game is suprisingly beautiful (everyone is beautiful I must say). However it's just only normal story, nothing is special or suprising (I was expecting more than that!). Give it a shot if you guys want to play a chill game with beautiful girls. I love Liuliu
