Songs of Syx is a fantasy city-builder with vast battles simulating thousands of citizens and soldiers. Start off as a small village and build, scheme, and fight your way towards a mighty empire. The mechanics are deep and true to life, where tiny events can spiral into the collapse of kingdoms.

what happened to songs of one through fyv....
Dwarf Fortress meets rim world meets dawn of man. In a very good state for early access. Looking forward to see what new aspects are added over time.
Great potential wasted in not fun chores. Game has a very tight balancing I made a 7k hab Human city and a 4k hab Cretonian (the pig dudes which are pretty cute). It constantly makes you run to do stuff, you can never relax otherwise it's too easy to get into a death spiral, there's no sweet spot for stuff, there's no fun on it just logistic nightmare. Civilian simulation is pretty shallow, there should be more interactions. It's a great game for those who like fight or flight situations, but it's not chill and fun at all, play factorio or caesar 3 instead. ----- Things that I think should change: Trading is absurdly garbage, if you try to make a city with a single race, good luck trying to get goods that your citizens can't make, you will have to sell like 4 goods constantly to make for one. You almost have to use slaves, that's not cool, they're way too good next to normal citizens. What the hell is wrong with this research system, there's a reason other games don't do it like that, how can you spare a LOT of citizens to progress and research if you're always tight fighting against famine, health, more carpenters and raiders. I guess there are pretty smart nerds on the community that used to cheese stuff on earlier versions and devs always make up for them, I don't think this is the way to balance stuff, you should go for the mass, this is not a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ moba.
Orignally I pirated this game about 3 years ago. I often feel drawn to it again. Because the developer is still supporting it and I'm tired of looking for the newest version, I just now bought it. I usually don't buy games anymore, but this is an exception. It's a very good game and still transforming.
This game feels like more pure city management for the sake of city management. I think its probably good if you like it, but a little too crunchy for me. I enjoyed rimworld and factorio, for context.
good replayability, im still learning things even after 140 hours of gameplay
Played the demo, had fun. Paid less than $20, own the whole game with all content. Simple as.
Even with 30 hrs and lots of DF and Rimworld experience I haven't got the hang of expanding beyond 1100 pop, but it is a lot of fun. Technology seems the least intuitive of everything so far.
That Gamatron intro cuts deep into my childhood. This is a very high end city builder. It is a must-buy for enthusiasts of that genre.
