Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Sep 12 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
SNUG is a management layer for NTFS compression — the lossless, transparent compression already built into Windows. Instead of digging through file properties or memorizing compact.exe commands, you get a clean interface to compress folders, apps, and games with a click.
Built on NTFS compression: SNUG doesn't invent its own compression format. It drives the native Windows compression engine — the same technology behind compact.exe — so your files stay fully supported and there's nothing proprietary locking you in.
Transparent and lossless: Compressed files work exactly as before — open, edit, and save them like any other file. Windows decompresses them on the fly while SNUG works in the background.
Real savings on the right files: Compression works best on text, code, documents, and game assets. Already-compressed files like most videos, JPEGs, and MP3s won't shrink much, and SNUG is upfront about what's actually worth compressing.
Light on resources: Because Windows handles the actual work, SNUG stays out of the way with minimal CPU and RAM usage.
Set it and forget it: Choose the folders you want compressed and SNUG handles the rest, automatically compressing new files as they're added.
Auto-import apps, games, and software: SNUG can detect and import installed applications, games, and software for easy compression.
One-click compression for project files: Quickly find and compress project folders for software like Photoshop, Blender, Unity, and more.
No file modification: Files are reduced on disk without changing their contents, so they stay fully compatible with their original applications.
If your drive is filling up with games and loose files, SNUG makes Windows' own compression genuinely easy to use — no command line, no guesswork. Reclaim disk space with a tool that's honest about how it works.

I've read a number of the negative reviews and don't get where they are coming from. Maybe the few games they have installed don't have a huge impact but for someone like myself that has 50+ games installed at a time, this is the result: Total App Space: 913.80 GB Space Saved: 191.62 GB Compressed Apps Space: 722.19 GB Yes, not every game can be compressed by a large amount ( for example, Everspace 2 only compressed .01 GB and Oblivion Remastered only compressed 2 GB) But a good chunk of games seem to compress 10-35% (for example, Baldur's Gate 3 compressed 18 GB and Skyrim SE compressed almost 60 GB. I noticed absolutely no difference in game performance between compressed and uncompressed games. I also have not seen any issues caused by compression in any of the 50+ games I have compressed. All in all, $7 to save 200 GB of space on my PC is well worth it.

Let's be honest. It's literally NFTS compression with a nice front end. It's nice and is a good app, but I feel like the price is outrageous for just a nice front-end. I do recommend it for people who don't know how to compress outside of SNUG.

I saved around 0.5GB to 5GB of space with this per game. Hollow knight is down from 4.87 GB to 1.43 GB saving 3.44GB. Since most developers already incorporate compressing into their game files, It doesn't really work anymore. Don't except anything grand like on the images. I can kinda see why it would work on ARK considering that It's really unoptimized, but I'm not gonna download that just to see if it would compress it that much. I can't really recommend this app, but considering the SSD prices, you can give it a try, If It's on sale. Edit: It has a VERY severe bug Idk when or why does it pop up, but sometimes when I try to launch It, an error message pops up about "Steam has to run to launch/start" while Steam is already running....... I couldn't find a fix for it except completely closing Steam (Which is REALLY annoying when I'm playing a game) and then re-open it. I REALLY can't really recommend this app.
