As tough as it is adorable—my favorite! No tutorials that outstay their welcome or overwrought, forced narrative. Lively cartoon style papers over the lack of graphical detail and results in excellent performance. (You may want to cap the framerate!) No music, and I'll gleefully take silence and subtle SFX over another MacLeod single track cop-out. All keyboard bindings are remappable. My sole nitpicks are that neither the tell for which character you're controlling nor the styling for destructible vs indestructible objects are obvious enough. Very fun little puzzle game. You can see the influences from games like Snakebird or Stephen's Sausage Roll. The mechanics in this game are really neat, and come with a fair bit of nuance that you'll have to discover as you play. The puzzle quality was a bit inconsistent. Some puzzles would stump me, and end up having really clever solutions. Other puzzles were either very easy, or ended up feeling like pure sokoban. I appreciate the art style in this game. While minimalistic (like most puzzle games), Snaliens stands out by also being fun to look at. There's no music in the game. While potentially offputting for some, I had no issue. Overall, one of the better puzzle games I have played recently. I hope this game gains more traction than it is currently getting.

Snaliens is a fine little puzzle game of the sokoban-ish persuasion. You're guiding a snail-like alien through small levels where you need to eliminate the obstacles and reach the exit. There are several kind of obstacles, a few tools you can use, and there are actually three different snaliens, each with different skills, sometimes working together. The visuals are functional, and there's no music, so the presentation is quite minimalist, but that's OK. Most of the puzzle mechanics are good, although one of them (the trailing tiles) could have used some more polish, and so could the puzzles built around it. With this minor issue, the game is very enjoyable, and produces some decent challenges (I especially liked level 88). Recommended.

Snaliens is a charming puzzle game with a good variety of mechanics. Perhaps it has a few too many easy levels, but there are some tricky ones too. Recommended.
