Slay the Princess — The Pristine Cut

La historia me ha consumido por completo (en el buen sentido). Es una obra de arte. Acompañada a esta, también lo es su (valga la redundancia) arte. Me encantan los juegos de tomar decisiones, y este es más que eso, es arte.

"Bring me more perspectives, so that I may be whole, and perhaps then we'll know our freedom" the entire game is just pure peak. it seeks your perspectives, asses them, and brings you to see the most extreme destructive impacts of your decisons. that made me rethink a lot about my sense of morality.

Maybe I just didn't stick with it long enough, but I got incredibly bored very quickly, due to the game's [spoiler]Groundhog Day-like[/spoiler] nature. I didn't care about either of the characters or their various iterations; I just wanted to stabby stab and have done with it. I guess if you like repetitive, unsettling visual novels, go for it? It just wasn't for me.

Eery and dark. At times, insightful & profound, other times creepy & funny in a cheeky/witty way especially the 'voices' (only way I could describe it haha). I enjoyed the Long Quiet segments a lot 1. because the art in these parts was incredible (all of the art in this game is hand drawn with pencil!) but 2. because there were sooo many really profound quotes. For a game that seems like a silly little horror game (especially when you first boot it up and encounter the princess etc.), this game holds a lot of depth. I'm also not finished with it because it has so many different endings & achievements to unlock and I want to eat up every part of it.
