This game is brilliant. I don't really need to say much more. Let the amazing acting, writing, music, and art do the talking.
Bought this game because I was bored plus it's on sale, and it was the best purchase ever...T-T Everything in this game reminds us of how relationships can be: two different people, two beating hearts, and so many different versions of ourselves. We clash, we betray, we lie, but at the end of the day, we’re just two souls who are scared of getting hurt. So, we fix things, understand each other, and reach new “perspectives.” As long as we love each other, there will always be hope to change everything...
最初クリアした時点ではストーリーがよくわからなかったが、周回しているうちにBGMやイラストの美しさに引き込まれていきました。
Incredible achievement - if you love well-planned Choose Your Own Adventure-style games and are fine with mild horror, definitely get this. The illustrations are beautiful, and with 130+ achievements (all actually achievable) it supports multiple playthroughs - I ended up playing through five times before I found my perfect ending, and the Memories section showing locked/unlocked branches and giving hints helps you track down the places you haven't yet been. The soundtrack's perfect, plus Nichole Goodnight (No Sleep) as the Princess and Jonathan Sims (Magnus Archives) as the only voice cast both put in an incredible shift. I got about 20 hours out of it just seeing in which direction I could push the game. I laughed, I cried, I fell in love, but mostly I marvelled.
I cried...A lot
Truly an exceptional game. The amount of different paths and endings could make your head blow. In a positive way of course. I highly recommend this game. especially for people who are sick and tired with games which give players only an illusion of choice.
amazing artwork, amazing story
TL;DR Felt like a Visual Novel (VN) version of Stanley Parable than something like a DokiDoki Literature Club. Each "run" is mostly short, and you get lots of choices, that may or may not matter. In the end the whole situation didn't interest me enough to keep going. It is well made though. 5/10 The Good Visuals: Whether you like the art style is definitely preference, but it does have a lot of art to keep the visuals interesting, and they are fully voiced too. The Bad Story: It initially started interesting, but then quickly became confusing and philosophical. Maybe I just don't get it, but I wasn't looking for such direction that the game took. Gameplay: Lots of dialogue choices, which is nice, but if you're trying to explore the game fully, then it gets more and more confusing at what you need to do. The game doesn't really indicate if there is a ending you need to head towards, which maybe is the point, but didn't really compel me to keep playing.
I've never known anyone, let alone characters in a video game, to be able to speak to me in such a way where I feel as though I'm not alone in the world. I've always thought myself someone who thinks in a way nobody could understand, but through this game I have proof that there are more like me. And there is more than me. I crave the unknown, I adore thinking toward the unthinkable, I long for purpose and I delight in having none. The fact that this game not only embodies these feelings but was able to convey them? There is no game like it. This is a masterpiece and instantly my favorite game of all time.
It's so morbid and beautiful! The concept is so emotional and thoughtful. It's both simple and provoking
