A cute enough little platformer with some puzzle elements sprinkled throughout. You control a skull that can roll and jump around but eventually you’ll unlock the ability to turn into different clay golems that each have their own special abilities. Interesting idea and the platforming does become challenging towards the end but I would say the implementation of the golem mechanics could have been better, perhaps merging all the forms into one super golem towards the end would have alleviated some of the issues over the ennui of the puzzles on the final few chapters. All that said it’s a nice 5 hour game (more if you’re a completionist) with a pleasing visual style.

Damn!!! This game is harder than it looks. I thought I was playing something a bit more casual. I was wrong. Chapter 3 has a section that almost made me rage quit. Chapter 6 Boss Battle is intense. The story is pretty chill. Most of the game-play is chill and relaxing. Reminds me of something that I would play as a kid. (I'm medium old).... Pretty good game so far. Got it on sale.
Voto finale: 4/10
From the same devs that brought us the delightful comedy adventure "Maize", Skully is a 3D marble platformer in the vein of Super Monkey Ball and Marble Madness starring an adorable little clay-filled skull creature. As marble platformers go, this one's pretty simple overall, but the movement generally feels very good (with some minor annoyances) and each level is packed with little collectibles if you're up for a challenge. You also unlock several alternate forms with special powers, so there's a good mix of using your noggin for both rolling around AND for solving puzzles. Some of the puzzles did feel a bit frustrating (especially in the dark cave level), but I only ever had to consult a walkthrough for one single room, so overall it wasn't terrible. I think the game's biggest charm is in its presentation, having you roll around a lovely naturescape reminiscent of seaside Canada (Prince Edward Island, maybe?) as adventurous folksy music meanders along in the background. The characters were fun too. Not quite as absurd as those of Maize, but certainly on the same wavelength. All in all, quite enjoyable (provided you enjoy a little bit of rage platforming every once in a while)!

It's very short, but I still was glad when I finished it. The beginning is quite fun with how fast Skully is, but later on the game focuses more on puzzles and precise platforming, so you don't really get to use that speed.
