I heard in an interview the Sam Eng tried to create what his first time skating was like. Skate Story is a blissful skating dream where you play as a glass demon trying to eat all the moons of the underworld. Each moon is its own level with a unique soundtrack and vibe. In each level there's a skating playground with more linear sections in them. The lines that you can make in this game is co clean and you can tell Sam Eng has a deep love of Skating. Blood Cultures did most of the Soundtrack in this game and it lends itself perfectly with the environments. There aren't really any half or quarter pipes, the gameplay is more about about moving forward but it's pretty unique in that way. I highly recommend this game to anyone who wants to vibe out to a relaxing skating game with a unique story.

Sometimes, someone makes a piece of art with such immaculate vibes that even if you don't really understand it, it's still an amazing experience. This is one of those pieces of art. I don't entirely get it. I see glimpses of something here and there. Metaphors and meanings, scattered about. Something seen, something certainly heard, something felt, but nothing quite comprehended in full. Perhaps that is the intent? Maybe this isn't some grand allegory that can tie itself together in a tight little bow. Maybe the journey taken in this game is simply its own journey. A journey with meaning, certainly. A story with a story to tell. Vibes that are, as the massive floating skull put it, "IMMACULATE." But that's it. Perhaps this is a story that stands only by itself, with a meaning that can be gleaned without visceral investigation, despite how it is presented.
As the years pass, this game will be recognized as the one of best skateboarding games ever to be made. You dont even need to like skateboarding to have a phenomenal experience. Death is real, and this is therapy. This game came out of the gate a little broken, but the Devils Patch seemed to have fixed everything worth complaining about. This is literally a game that comes out once in a generation, and will always be in the back of your mind after playing. It is a 10/10 must play. Shout out blood cultures too for the bangers. The soundtrack is unforgettable. You will have goosebumps.
Skate 3: Hell Edition. Absolute masterpiece :)
This game is a gem
Skating fun Story bit too long, especially when it's esoteric and has no specific meaning. Feels like unique vision, worth time and attention Music medium good. Un-enunciated singing gets old after a while. Climax is evangelion-esque and holds some narrative weight.
