The designer does an outstanding job of taking you on along their journey, you experience their process and share in their emotions. I was genuinely touched by the authenticity in this game, I can only imagine how challenging it must have been to make, to be this vulnerable and honest in a public medium. For people going through loss and feeling isolated, I recommend Sire. The dark humour is an added bonus :).

Intriguing and honest narrative experience that manages to really capture complex feelings in a poetic yet easily digestible way. Though the themes of the story hit particularly close to home for me, I think it will resonates with the general idea of the relationship one has with their parents for many. I highly recommend it as an short and impactful experience that will make you reflect upon your own relationships and memories!

A short game, but well worth it; beautiful artwork, interesting design, and a beautifully written emotional rollercoaster of a story. I also loved the fragments of real art footage that can be discovered throughout the game. I’d love to see more games in this format and style.

The contrast between the old-school drag-and-drop mechanics and the fluid, immersive storytelling worked well for me, drawing me deeper into the narrative. It’s full of confronting “oof” moments—emotional punches that never become overwhelming, thanks to the whimsical humor that surfaces at unexpected moments. An artful, intimate game that not only brought me closer to the artist but also to others who have experienced complex loss and grief.

Lots of things that I want to say: about how this is what I want to point towards when somebody asks again if games can be art. Or how weird it feels rating this experience with a thumbs up or down on a gaming shop. Or how it feels like reading somebodies diary. I mean a real diary by a real person. I'll make it short though: Play this.
