Sins of a Solar Empire II

It seemed scary at first, heck I've owned the original on CD the first Sins game but I could never get into it because it seemed way to complicated. But this, this stripped it all back and revealed that its just like any other RTS, familiar resource gathering, base building and army management. Only I discovered that its actually a hidden gem of an RTS that is suuuuper chill. For someone who loves to turtle and spend their time building their empire before the great assault this is MY new cozy game! <3 It's achingly beautiful, runs well on just about anything above a toaster. And if you have some serious specs on your device, the mod community truly have taken something great and made it into a masterpiece. I loved Empire At War back in the day to scratch that Star Wars space battle itch, but this just blows everything that does out of the water. All with one minor caveat. No campaign to sink my teeth into. That is a crying shame because I would lose weeks to this getting sucked into its lore and world rather than having to dig it all up on youtube. Don't be afraid, it looks big, but really its a beautifully simple RTS that lets you take your time and enjoy the views along the way and bask in the awe of your ships majesty. 10/10 WORTH full price.

Love It

Very solid space RTS with 4X elements. Lots of factions, sub-factions and minor factions. Robust skirmish and modding potential. Graphic and visual improved over first game and performace is great as well, even on big maps with a lot of players. The only weak point is that some content (4th faction, SP scenarios, SP campaign, Command ships) is locked behind quite pricy DLCs.
