This was going to be a nice birthday gift for myself since it was on sale, but I am just going to get a refund. It felt like a great time to pick it up. The characters and story were interesting, but I am just not enjoying the gameplay or my interaction with the game. The combat is janky with stilted animations and a slow wind-up, but an oddly quick dodge. It's serviceable, but if the main girl is a runner, then why is her stamina so low, and why does she do an animation straight out of a PS1 game? Another thing: if you have a button that can turn the camera around, why does the character not move fully 360 degrees if you aren't actively running? It feels like playing an MMO with legacy controls until you run, and only then does it feel like a proper 3rd-person game. I don’t get it. I know this must fall under creative intent—like giving you a small space to move around in to make interacting with monsters tenser—but it just feels wrong to me. On the positive side, the visuals are top-notch, I love the horror, and the Japanese voice acting seemed solid because you can really feel the emotion. Seriously, don’t write this game off just from my review; it is a game for someone, but I personally did not enjoy my time with it. I am still going to give this game a positive rating, because i think it is a game worth playing and something people should see.
def recommend, beautiful game <3
Perfeito!!! Recomendo 100000000000%%%
Very beautiful game, plays great, and the whole visual style + sound design is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ amazing. The story though... Half the time I was just sitting there thinking: okay, I get that this means something... but what, why, and what the ♥♥♥♥ does it have to do with Silent Hill? Apparently as in pretty much every Silent Hill there is multiple endings, so I guess I'm replaying it until this ♥♥♥♥ starts making sense
Im happy for a return to form and to see konami back to making games from the ground up again Love the story and the atmosphere and learned a lot of the Japanese culture and the woman that struggled at those times and cant wait to get the rest of the endings
It's so awesom!
