About
Shelves And Sorcery is a relaxing fantasy organization game about turning absolute chaos back into order.
Weapons, potions, spellbooks, fruits, vegetables, magical curiosities, and thousands of other items have been scattered throughout three fantasy shops. Pick everything up, find where it belongs, and slowly watch each shop return to the way it was meant to be.
Take your time and enjoy the satisfaction of putting everything in its place, or learn every corner of the shop and race against players around the world for the fastest time.
Choose from three shops of dramatically different sizes, each with its own setting, atmosphere, and challenge. Then return to them in four different modes, whether you want to relax, chase the fastest time, wield every bit of magic from the start, or organize without magic at all.
• Casual Mode – No timer and no pressure. Take your time, enjoy the atmosphere, and organize every shelf at your own pace.
• Timed Mode – Race against the clock and compete on the global leaderboards. Learn where every item belongs, master your Sorceries and Enchantments, perfect your route, and keep pushing for a faster time.
• Archmage Mode – Start with every Sorcery and Enchantment already unlocked. Take on the entire shop at full magical strength and see just how powerful an experienced shopkeeper can be.
• No Magic Mode – The magic of the world has escaped. No Sorceries. No Enchantments. No magical shortcuts. Just you, thousands of misplaced items, and the knowledge you've gained along the way.
1,000+ items to organize
A cozy shop tucked away in the quiet village of Burg. Once a welcoming stop for locals and passing adventurers, its shelves have fallen into disarray. With 1,048 items to restore, it's a comfortable introduction to the satisfying world of organizing.
3,000+ items to organize
A well-loved shop in the bustling market town of Stonebridge, built through years of honest work by its humble merchant. With 3,085 misplaced items, restoring The Merchant's Rest offers a much larger challenge with plenty of shelves waiting to be put right.
4,000+ items to organize
High above the clouds on the floating isle of Vane stands a legendary shop filled with magical treasures from across the world. With 4,066 items scattered throughout, The Grand Athenaeum is the largest challenge of them all. Take your time restoring it, or master every shelf and chase the fastest time.
Thankfully, you don't have to organize thousands of magical objects entirely by hand.
As you make progress, unlock Sorceries designed to help you tackle the mess.
Gather matching items from around the shop, reveal objects you've been struggling to find, or use magic to send items toward the shelves where they belong.
The more you organize, the more powerful your magical toolkit becomes.
Magic isn't limited to spells.
Unlock Enchantments that permanently improve your abilities and change how you move through each shop.
Carry more items at once. Increase your reach. Move faster. Jump higher. Eventually, even take to the air.
Combined with your Sorceries, these abilities can turn an experienced shopkeeper into an organizing force of nature and become an important part of chasing faster times.
Whether you're carefully organizing The Hearth & Barrel after a long day, working your way through the thousands of items inside The Merchant's Rest, or fighting for a place on the leaderboard in The Grand Athenaeum, Shelves And Sorcery is built around one simple satisfaction:
Finding where something belongs...
and finally putting it there.

EDIT: The developers have already fixed the movement with controller and it feels much better now. I'll leave the original review below for context but I'm changing my review to recommended now. ----- The game is so close to being good but I have one problem with it, and for me its a big one. The movement with a controller is digital instead of analog, meaning you are either standing still or moving at full speed. There is no in-between speed if you only push your stick a small amount. This led to me fighting with the movement the entire play-through instead of just enjoying the game. If the movement while using a controller gets changed then I think this game would be a great addition to the genre but as it stands right now I can't recommend the game for anyone planning to play using a controller.
Almost 10 hours in, and I adore this game. I also own Teddy's Haven, so seeing so many familiar items was very fun! I liked the options this game gives you in terms of how you play. Sometimes I will sit down and look for one certain item until I have them all and other times I use my enchantments to gather a hard to find item. I like that I can play at my own pace or timed. 10/10. Makes me want to open Teddy's Haven back up!

Best tidy up game I've tried yet - and I have tried a few ;)
First off, incredible game, big into aesthetics and this felt like walking into a fantasy realm. The names of the items, the care put into each object, it felt like dwarves, knights, mages could walk in to shop. Since the library game this has been my go to with steam, after a long work day getting to chill out taking my time cleaning and organizing is my happy place. Give this game a purchase if it’s your niche as well.
I've been super into these 'clean it up' style games, and my husband bought this one for me when he saw it had been released. I was playing and came across the little toy Teddy's and was like 'that's a cute Easter egg from Teddy's Haven!' without realizing it was the same developer. This one is just as fun. If Teddy's Haven has you building the shop, this one has you cleaning it all up. I love the assets they use, and love that there are multiple maps to organize. This game is a lot of fun, so if you like this style, this is definitely one of the good ones.
Fun addition to the "tidy up" game list. I really appreciate the separated modes - no worrying if this skill or that skill count in "don't use skills" type of runs, it just locks them out so there's no accident.
Nicely done game, no major bugs (only found 1 issue while playing, one of the items was under the floorboard, but managed to drag it out with a spell after checking all the shelves to see which item was missing) Nice animations, love the book titles and potion names! More of this please!
A very nice variety of objects to organize with beautiful, vibrant art.
Cute and relaxing little tidying game
日本語対応はしてないけど英語でも別に問題ないかな。 持ってるものを棚にぶん投げるスキルを使うとどこにしまわれたかわからなくなって困るということがわかった。ふふ。
