Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 29 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

An old-school Doom in an Egyptian setting for a minimal price? Yes, that's the one.
Shadow of Egypt is a first-person survival shooter developed and published by LTZinc that blends horror-inspired combat with ancient mythology to create a focused action experience built around exploration, survival, and resource management. Using Egyptian history and supernatural themes as its foundation, the game places players inside dangerous environments filled with deadly threats where survival depends on careful preparation and combat efficiency. Instead of building itself around cinematic storytelling or heavily layered progression systems, it emphasizes straightforward action gameplay supported by atmosphere and tension. The setting immediately becomes one of the game’s strongest features. Ancient Egyptian mythology naturally carries mystery and danger, and Shadow of Egypt uses those themes to create a survival experience centered around exploring massive pyramids hiding supernatural horrors beneath centuries of forgotten history. Players descend into dangerous ruins filled with dark corridors, hostile creatures, and hidden dangers waiting beyond every corner. The environment itself becomes a major source of tension, reinforcing the feeling that players have entered a place where something ancient and dangerous has awakened. The game structures its progression around exploration and survival. Players push deeper into hostile locations while searching for resources and confronting enemies inspired by Egyptian mythology. Combat becomes the primary obstacle standing between progression and failure. Ammunition management, health preservation, and weapon usage all become important considerations throughout longer encounters. The survival systems remain accessible without becoming overly complicated, creating a gameplay loop that focuses more on execution and awareness than overwhelming complexity. Combat mechanics remain straightforward but effective within the game’s overall structure. Hostile enemies emerge throughout pyramid environments, forcing players to balance aggression with caution. Ammunition cannot be wasted carelessly, especially during more dangerous sections where resource shortages increase pressure significantly. This creates a survival dynamic that rewards careful decision-making rather than reckless combat approaches. Weapon variety also helps maintain pacing across progression. Discovering stronger equipment creates additional motivation to continue exploring dangerous areas while introducing opportunities to approach encounters differently. The progression systems remain intentionally direct, keeping players focused on surviving rather than navigating complicated upgrade trees or heavily layered mechanics. The game’s atmosphere contributes heavily to its appeal. Large pyramid interiors filled with darkness and uncertainty naturally support horror influences. The environment constantly reinforces vulnerability by creating situations where danger feels close even during quieter moments. Ancient ruins often carry mystery effectively within games, and Shadow of Egypt successfully uses that atmosphere to strengthen immersion throughout exploration. Difficulty options also improve accessibility. Multiple challenge settings allow players to adjust the experience according to preference, making the game approachable for those interested primarily in atmosphere while still supporting players looking for greater survival pressure. Harder settings emphasize careful resource management and precision, while easier options create a more relaxed progression structure. Visually, Shadow of Egypt focuses more on atmosphere than technical spectacle. Environmental design prioritizes mood and readability during combat situations while maintaining a consistent visual identity shaped by Egyptian mythology. Independent production limitations remain visible in certain areas, but the setting itself helps maintain engagement by providing a distinct backdrop uncommon within smaller survival shooters. Audio presentation also contributes positively to immersion. Environmental sounds and darker atmosphere reinforce uncertainty while helping build tension during exploration and combat sequences. Combined with survival-focused pacing, the audio design supports the feeling of navigating dangerous ruins where threats may emerge without warning. The game does show limitations tied to its smaller scope. Players expecting deeper storytelling systems or highly advanced progression mechanics may find the experience narrower than anticipated. The gameplay loop remains heavily centered around exploration and combat repetition. Long-term enjoyment depends heavily on whether players appreciate straightforward survival shooter design rather than more expansive feature sets. Enemy variety and broader gameplay evolution could also have strengthened replay value further. Certain encounters begin relying heavily on familiar patterns over longer sessions, which may reduce excitement for players expecting more dramatic gameplay changes later into progression. Independent production constraints become increasingly noticeable over time. Despite those shortcomings, Shadow of Egypt succeeds because it commits fully to its central concept. LTZinc focused on delivering an atmospheric survival shooter built around ancient mythology rather than attempting excessive ambition beyond its scope. The combination of pyramid exploration, resource management, and supernatural horror creates an experience that stands apart from more conventional zombie or military survival shooters. Players who enjoy independent action games with survival elements and atmospheric settings will likely find value in Shadow of Egypt’s focused design philosophy. It may not redefine the genre, but it delivers an enjoyable adventure supported by strong environmental atmosphere and satisfying survival fundamentals. Rating: 6/10

There are a ton of games made under this engine released under different developer names that consist of three short levels that kick you back to the title screen. The visuals are really the only good thing about these games. The turning is horrible and enemies run up and instakill you as you try to turn around. I mean it's actually broken, as in the mouse will lock up and you cannot turn while they steal your life. No ending, just kicked back to the title screen.
This game disappoints me because I saw an FPS game set in Ancient Egypt and was immediately interested. It's a shame Shadow of Egypt is only three levels long, beatable in 15 minutes and is an asset flip like the other games made by this developer. It's a shame I can't recommend this game, because there isn't enough FPS games with Ancient Egyptian settings. I love shooters and I love Ancient Egyptian culture and mythology, so combining the two is an easy way to pique my interest. As for Shadow of Egypt as a game, the mouse controls are broken and it only has three levels before booting you back to the title screen. I finished the whole thing in only 15 minutes. It feels like a half-baked Wolfenstein 3D mod put up for 89 pence. I got it on sale for 44 pence in case anyone wants to know for whatever reason. Shadow of Egypt disappoints me because I saw an FPS game set in Ancient Egypt, and I wish more games in that genre with that setting existed. But alas, I can't recommend a game that's as short and lacking much of anything as this game. By this point, I'd might as well learn how to code in a game engine and make my own Ancient Egyptian FPS game. I have some programming experience, most of which I've forgotten, but I'm sure I can do it if I ever find the time and motivation.
The game is too short, I didn't have time to enjoy it...
