Like F.E.A.R. but on crack. Get a kill in slow motion, slow motion meter refills. One of your hands is a rocket launcher, so not reloading. Run out of ammo? just throw your gun away and find a new one. Also has wall running and you can shoot holes through walls. Fun game.

The shooting in this game feels AMAZING!
Severed Steel je audiovizuálně vymazlená adrenalinová akční jízda. Ve své podstatě se jedná o FPS variaci na Hotline Miami s přestřelkami inspirovanými filmem The Matrix. Hlavní hrdinka vydrží jen pár zásahů. Pro úspěšný průchod hrou je tak potřeba mít pohotové reflexy a přesnou mušku, a k tomu vhodně využívat akrobacie (skluz, běhání po stěnách, skákání skrze okna a kopy) a dovednosti zpomalení času. Později hráči ještě přibude možnost probourávat se skrze stěny - cool faktor a pestrost akce tak postupem času jen stoupá. Levely jsou krátké, ale o to více intenzivní. Jejich cíle bývají prosté - všechny zabij, něco znič, něco posbírej, někam se v časovém limitu dostaň. Hráč má obvykle poměrně velkou volnost v tom, jak svého cíle dosáhne. Když se vám daří a dostanete se do flow, jen těžko se od hry odtrhává ("ještě jeden level..."). Délka kampaně je pro tento typ infarktové akční hratelnosti ideální - do 3 hodin budete mít hotovo. Hra je oděna do nesmírně slušivého futuristického kabátku a rychlé tempo boje podporuje výborný drum and bassový soundtrack.

I had a ton of fun playing Severed Steel, even though it was annoying to configure for my ultrawide, as I didn't have Borderless Gaming or DisplayFusion at the time. I stopped playing because at that time I got my Steam Deck, plus I needed to study for midterms, but man, was this game fun. Also, I can't stress this enough: Wait for a sale! The game drops as low as 90% off every other week. You’d be foolish not to wait. So, just like I did, have some patience.
