Serpent's Gaze

Rogue-lite darksouls. It's definitely light on content but the fundamentals it demonstrates created a fun little coop game.

As it is now in early access I would wait if at all. The combat does not feel great and the weapons as well. Maybe they will work on this, but I was not having fun playing the game. Just going through the motions.

I wish I could vote yes on this, but it just has so many issues. The main problem is that it is a blatant Dark Souls clone, but with no new ideas and far far less content. There's like 10 weapons you can use in this game. Even Dark Souls 1 had dozens and dozens. There were some cool bosses, but all of them were defeated easily. And again, no new ideas there, just inferior bosses to Dark Souls. If you like this kind of game, then just go play Dark Souls 1, 2, 3, Elden Ring, Nightreign, Demon Souls, Bloodborne, and all their DLCs. There is a limitless amount of content that is just flat out better in every way. It's fine to be inspired by a game, but you have to add something of your own to it, do something novel or interesting. This game I beat with my friend in 4.5 hours. There's hardly any content. On top of that, there's hardly anything you could call a "build." Buying this game is like going shopping for a puppy and instead of choosing the several available to you, you grab some roadkill on the street and pretend it's the same thing. It's just worse than what it's imitating in every single conceivable way.

Great game for a group of friends to go through and experience together plenty of content and builds to discover with a smooth gameplay loop that has gotten me addicted and looking forward to more content

The game definitely has some jank to it, but underneath that, it’s really well put together. You can tell the developers genuinely have a passion for what they’re making. This doesn’t feel like some soulslike or roguelite cash grab trying to capitalize on the current hype. There’s clearly been a lot of thought put into the game, and it shows. For an Early Access title, there’s a good amount of content here, and I’m excited to see where the developers take it. I’ll definitely be playing throughout early access and following its development. I really hope the game gets the funding and support it deserves, because I’d love to see the devs have the resources to expand on what they’ve built so far. Definitely one to keep an eye on!

Amazing bang for your buck. Souls inspired combat with a roguelite system that keeps every run fresh and builds unique. Good solo, even better with friends. Highly recommended.

Es una combinación entre Dark Souls y Slay the Spire. Elegís un mapa (que tiene siempre el mismo formato, pero se van cambiando los enemigos por cada run), vas agarrando "cartas" (que son buffs pasivos), y peleás contra 1 boss. Cuando le ganás, avanzás a la siguiente parte del mapa. Si morís, arrancás de cero, pero lo que desbloqueaste te puede aparecer cuando agarrás cartas en la siguiente run. Al principio parece simplón, pero cuando le metés unas horas te das cuenta que está re bueno. Tienen planes para seguir puliendo y mejorando. En co-op es espectacular.
