I love spending 2 hours gathering loot just for a solo sloop to 1v4 us and win. Overall great expirience. I would like to recomend this game to patrick: INSTALL THE GAME!!!
the pvp sucks and is very hard
Add unrestricted PVE = More players = More money = WIN WIN
Fun to play with friends, horrible if you play alone, so DON'T BUY IT IF YOU THINK IS FUN TO PLAY ALONE If you choose to play a private game you get only 30% of the rewards, so you are forced to play in public lobby if you want to get gold faster (Good luck if you play alone. You spend two hours doing a fort, just to encounter a bigger crew that steals all your loot) Also most of the events, cosmetics and quests are available only in public lobbies, worst experience i've seen in a game for players that want to play private I bought the game on discount, and I think that's the only time it's worth buying
Rare has all but decided they'll be catering to streamers and pvp sweats and are actively trying to force players into nonexistent emergent gameplay. Safer seas is a joke and no one asked for custom seas. They just gutted being able to dive to anything other than PvP. So unless you and at least one friend can spare 6 or more hours to a play session don't waste your time. Your now completely at the mercy of spawn RNG for everything from where you spawn in the game to the loot you get or whether the game will decide to work at all.
I like this game, but i hate its community.
Coming back to the game on pc from PS5 after a year and have no idea why the developer has decided to go the anti fun route by making the game tougher and more stressful. High seas is a LOT safer than safer seas nowadays. The latter game mode just isn't worth it and never really was plus the game is getting on in years and I'm not expecting them to fix anything any time soon if at all (Unstable connection anyone?) It's gone from a relatively positive vibe to 'I'd rather be playing something else'.
Fun game with friends Unfortunately if you play alone you will FEEL the Microsoft metaphorical THROBBING fat ♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ this shell of a former good game. Every update is a quid pro quo but the quid is more than the quo, they will add ♥♥♥♥ but they will also ♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥, the Microsoft way. Whether it's bugs or bloating content to get your play time. It's just like Windows update, IF NOBODY ASK FOR IT WHY ADD IT. Also WHY DO WE NEED TO LOG IN INTO MICROSOFT ACCOUNT, BIND IT TO STEAM INSTEAD WTF IT'S 2026 Half the time servers works nicely, the other half well you already know. I still play with friends because playing with good friends is a fun time. If you playing alone you are getting pinned and pounded.
I recommend Sea of Thieves. There is a lot of content for new players, including Tall Tales, world events, commendations, and cosmetics to work toward. The game visually looks amazing and is at its best when you are willing to invest time into getting better (which for me took 2 years); if you only plan to play casually, consider waiting for a sale or adding it to your wishlist first. The game has had rough periods, and Rare does not always respond to community concerns as quickly as players would like, but improvements are being made. New cosmetics are added every season, and Twitch Drops provide additional items. The more expensive editions are not worth worrying about, as the extra 10,000 gold becomes insignificant very quickly. Another issue I have is the presence of in-game purchases despite the price, the game should be cheaper if anything. However, rare are moving towards adding all emporium items (Items bought with ancient coins, which cost money or take a long time to collect) to the season pass, which means more players can get their hands on emporium items without having to pay for them! Which is a huge step in the right direction. Overall, despite its issues, I recommend the game.
This game is a lot of fun untill some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ come by and ruin that fun for you
