About
ScrapBots is a first-person melee brawler developed by a team of nine undergraduate game development students at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). Designed as our capstone project, our goal was to show off our strengths while learning and growing as game designers in the process.
ScrapBots is set on an abandoned junk planet inhabited by ruthless robots tearing each other apart. The player takes control of a robot named Junk Dog, a hermit on a quest to defeat the leader of the most powerful faction in the wasteland. Use junk dogs’ unique function of interchangeable arms and other combat capabilities to help survive the savage bots of the wasteland.
Fast First-Person Combat: Use both fists to box other bots into scrap. Take their left-over arms to fuel Junk dog’s rampage across the wasteland.
Interchangeable Arms: Equip a variety of arms from Junk dog’s defeated enemies, each with unique punches and stats. Mix arms to find the best play style for the situation.
Environmental Traps: Scattered across the wasteland are dangerous traps junk dog can leverage to speed up his killing.
Movement abilities: Dash around the enemy to stay in the fight longer and help get across the wasteland terrain.
Will you scrap your enemies or become scrap yourself?

This is a good ass game to be honest, it's even funner to speedrun! B) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LEvE0wjxfJ0 beat the game in just over 6 minutes, going for sub 6 minutes soon! :DD I wouldn't change a thing about this game :)
A very nice, unpolished student project. I really like what you guys are going for. Definitely needs a lot of work but I think you can achieve great things.
ScrapBots, unutulmuş, paslı bir çöp gezegeninde maceraya atılıp hayatta kalmak için göğüs göğüse mücadele ettiğiniz birinci şahıs yakın dövüş oyunudur. Düşmanlarınızı hurdaya dönüştürün ve vücut parçalarını yeniden kullanarak kendi dövüş yeteneklerinizi güçlendirin ve geliştirin.

What a fun little game. I love the arm swapping it feels very fluid. So much room to explore and expand on this idea! Student projects FTW
Decently good game but quite janky, its quite short having 2 back to back extremely easy bosses it might become better eventually but it isn't right now 4/10
игра прикольная, но ужасно оптимизирван. на Стим дек в минимальных настройках выдает 13 кадров... 13! хотя там, ну нет ничего такого, что нагружало бы консоль. разрабы, допилите! игра пркоьная. две звезды из пяти
ScrapBots in a nutshell: Pick up arm, smack robots, arm breaks, grab another arm, repeat. This game has a bit of charm going for it. Playing as an underdog bot fighting for freedom gives the game some personality, and the low-poly presentation is pleasant enough. Unfortunately, the gameplay loop became repetitive fairly quickly for me. The main gimmick revolves around using robotic arms as weapons, but they have limited durability. Once an arm breaks, you need to throw it away and pick up another from defeated enemies. While interesting at first, it eventually felt more tedious than engaging. By the later stages, I found myself running past enemies whenever possible just to reach the end. Or cheesing the environmental kills whenever possible. The combat and progression simply weren't compelling enough to keep me invested. Not terrible, not amazing. Just a fairly average little action game. Since it's free, it's worth a look if you're curious, but don't expect anything groundbreaking.
ScrapBots is a rough gem. The vision for the product is unique and quite ambitious and can leave certain consumer feeling "what did i just go through" - thats because this is fundamentally a project and not a product to consume. There is a difference. There is a lot of room to improve and expand on if they are serious to turn this into a product. Imagine Real Steel + RPG. That just sums up how much potential this product has.
I love the platforming, game looks decent,I used steam input for controller support and it worked flawlessly. I think you guys did good.
its fun unpolished but it has the blueprints for a good game with fun mechanics and astetics
