Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 18 → 0.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
"Every great discovery begins with a desire to shed light on the unknown."
Scientific Project: Optic is a first-person puzzle game that plunges you into the heart of scientific discovery in optics. Explore the journey from philosophical musings on the nature of light to complex modern phenomena. Become part of a grand voyage through the evolution of optical science.
From Antiquity to Modernity
Your path spans seven unique historical periods. Begin your experiments in the atmospheric ancient temples where the first philosophical concepts were born, and progress to high-tech modern laboratories. Each era features its own visual aesthetic and new challenges.
Control the Nature of Light
Your primary tool is the laws of physics. Use mirrors, lenses, prisms, and complex optical devices to manipulate beams. Split light into spectrums, bypass obstacles, and uncover hidden paths. All game mechanics strictly adhere to the real-world laws of geometric optics.
The Path of Independent Discovery
The game doesn't hold your hand. There are no direct hints or quest markers—just you, the laws of physics, and the puzzle waiting to be solved. Experience the true satisfaction of every independent discovery.
Key Features:
Evolution of Mechanics: With each new era, the game introduces novel optical phenomena and tools, constantly expanding your possibilities.
Realistic Physics: Reflection, refraction, and dispersion work exactly as they do in real life.
Variety of Tools: Combine different optical instruments to achieve your goal.
Atmospheric Story: Your journey through the ages is accompanied by a professionally voiced narrator who reveals the philosophical and scientific context of each discovery.
Can you unravel nature's greatest mystery and tame the light?

Reviews
This game reminds me of the talos principle series which is one of my favorite series ive ever played and the puzzles are very fun
I’ve just finished the game; it’s a magnificent tribute to humanity’s mastery of light—stay strong, Ukraine.
Today I installed and tried the game for the first time. Overall I was really satisfied. During the whole time nothing lagged or stuttered, everything ran smoothly. I really liked the atmosphere and the graphics right away. You can tell the devs paid attention to the details: good lighting, reflections, ray tracing — the visuals look really nice. The puzzles are interesting and fun to go through. I also liked the Ukrainian voice acting and the soundtrack, which fit the overall vibe really well. So far the impressions are positive. If the game keeps this level, I’ll gladly finish it.

Listen, I bought this game today and it is seriously cool! I’ve always respected devs who tackle scientific or physics themes, because making optics fun as a game is quite the quest. The visuals are nice, the atmosphere and effects are dope, and the concept is top notch. It's a great way to unwind after work. You can really tell a lot of heart and time went into this. Huge respect to the authors!
I am impressed with this game and the concept of using light to solve puzzles. I am feeling challenged. I am impressed with what the devs have achieved and would recommend to fans of Talos principle and games like that.
game has bug in the beginning of the game where mirror is not there. it is after i pass dark corridor and getitng to place where green mirror is. there should be a mirror in small space just near where light comes out but is not there. i saw a walkthru and mirror was there. i don't know how it is possible. i asked for refound.
I haven't played that much, but I want to say that it's interesting to play, even though I'm not a fan of puzzle games. At the beginning, there weren't enough tutorials on how to play—I only noticed the markers on the ground later. I also think it's worth making hints when you can't find the right angle for the sunbeam for a very long time! Overall, I'll play some more. Good luck to the developers!
