For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. About

Amidst a heist gone wrong, Mittens — the world's greatest (and most literal) cat burglar — finds herself caught in a quantum experiment, and gains incredible powers.

With the help of her friends and some new quantum tricks up her sleeve, Mittens must puzzle her way through the secretive research facility, uncover the truth, and make it home before breakfast.

The game is based around a central quantum mechanic — at the press of a button Mittens can split into two cats, who can each be controlled to solve puzzles and cause trouble.

The quantum superstate obeys Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle - when nobody is looking, Mittens could be in either location. If she’s observed however, things get theoretical…
🚪 Pass through doors (that could theoretically have opened).
🚓 Avoid security detection (you can’t see what doesn’t exist).
🧵 Quantum mechanics plus cats. No strings attached!

Take a break from theoretical physics with some experimental fashion. Join the catwalk with plenty of strangely charming customisation options to unlock - each applicable to either quantum position.

Use your powers to access the inaccessible, evade the inevitable, and heist the unheistable to become Schrodinger's Cat Burglar!

A host of cat-splitting puzzles, sending items and energy across theoretical spacetime and back again in time for breakfast!
Play dress-up and choose custom hats, cat breeds, accessories and of course - level of cat chonkiness.
Have a friend join at any time in drop-in/out local coop, also compatible with Steam Remote Play Together.
What is this shady facility researching? What are the pest-control robots protecting? And who is this mysterious Shadow Cat…?
Hidden areas, sneaky mouse-bots and tricky quantum shards for the more advanced puzzle fans out there – or if you just want to knock coffee off desks, you can do that too…

Very Fun Puzzle game with a story. Have to use your brain but doesn't require any fast reaction times. Have not beat the game yet, but very happy with it so far. Just wish there was a Siamese skin, there is however a ragdoll skin which is close. Game suggests a controller, however I don't have a controller so I've been playing with my keyboard. The only issues this has given me is the emote wheel not being easy to use. And the on screen prompts not being able to show for controls for cat 2 due to having some binds set on the keypad of my keyboard, (I have interact, jump, and fuse for this cat binded to 1,0, and 2 respectively on my keypad). The controls work but they do not show properly on screen. Ex. When cat 1 needs to interact the screen shows a key with press E, but it only shows a blank colored square for cat 2. Just a heads up. Doesn't effect playablity. The default key-binds for keyboard are a bit clunky so I had to do quite a lot of rebinding. Very Fun though! Cheers! :)
Really cute, fun and enjoyable puzzle game. Puzzles are not too hard but challenging enough to keep you entertained for 10+ hours
Really loved the game! It's got very inventive puzzle mechanics to it and a pretty intriguing story to unravel too! I will say that 100% completion is pretty tedious as the map is big and you have to run everywhere. you can take an elevator to each area and it does tell you what you're missing in each area but you have to run around looking for the corner that you overlooked somewhere. It's also driving me crazy that there may be a secret with the arcade machine that i can't figure out! Whatever the case i do recommend the game - it's quite a fun time!
I loved this game the whole way through! Mittens and Susan were so adorable! Meanwhile, I was really engaged in the story and puzzles! The story went way deeper than I anticipated and I couldn't wait to see what puzzles the game would throw at me next. This game also turned out to be longer than expected it to be, which was great because I still want more from it! Everything felt so nice to play and I just can't get enough of it. This game is such a genius concept and was executed really well. I really feel the passion of this game. As a person who can't wait to make games myself, if I could, I'd love to help with the sequel (feels like a stretch to ask for, but eh, still wanted to say it just to see what would happen). I streamed my playthrough of this game on YouTube across 4 4-hour sessions and I couldn't wait to play more of it every Saturday (that's when I stream). This game kept me wanting to come back and, even after completing it, I still want to dive back into it! This game isn't without some issues. The biggest issue my boyfriend and I faced was controllers not assigning properly. During my 2nd stream of this game and onwards, we played in Co-Op mode using Steam Remote Play and it would always make his controller Player 1 (even though Steam deemed him as Player 2) and my controller as Player 2 (even though Steam deemed my controller as Player 1). The fix was easy, just swap the controllers around in the menu, but we didn't discover that until the next stream. So, I couldn't use the Main Elevator. My boyfriend had to take us to places. There were also a few times Mittens didn't show up in the dialog box icon for the cutscenes. Instead, it kept Susan in the bubble the whole time during some cutscenes. I also noticed one decal didn't unload when we were in another room (but that's a really minor issue. Still wanted to bring it up though just to be thorough). One time when messing with the books, knocking them off the desks, we got launched high into the air, which was really funny. That happened on the final stream, during the final stretch of the game. Sometimes jumping/pouncing in the game can be a bit finicky. Wish it was a bit easier to choose where to pounce to, but it didn't impede us that much. Sometimes we got stuck when hacking the PCs, but that was mostly on us for not being directly in front of the PC when interacting with it and Mittens trying to, but getting stuck, on the way to moving in front of the PC. Good thing the game does have a failsafe for that which is great. Mitten just regains control after a bit, or just teleports to in front of the PC. I just thought of a great idea to could be implemented into the sequel! Don't know how difficult it would be, but I'm thinking back to Co-Op mode and how when you use the Right Stick to signal to the other player where the go or look at. Imagine if instead of an arrow, an outline of Mittens would walk out of the other player and you could control that outlined Mittens. Then, when you release the Right Stick, the outlined Mittens would disappear. I imagine this Outlined Mittens wouldn't be able to interact with anything, but could be a neat way to guide the other player where to go better than an arrow. They could also leave a dotted track on the ground, or maybe even pawprints, so that the other player could follow the path. Okay, I think I've rambled on long enough. I just really love this game and I can't wait for what comes next! I got so enthralled in this game and it's characters! I wanna see what happens next, I need that continuation! Aaaah! I'm so excited! When I first saw a short of this game on YouTube several months ago, I knew this game I was gonna love. I love me a good puzzle game and having a cat the main character is just a cherry on top. I couldn't see this game working with a human. OH! I just remembered. I wish there was an option to disable zooming in when doing an emote. In Co-op mode, the camera doesn't zoom in when doing emotes unless the two Mittens are close enough. Wish there was a way to turn it off, or at least having zooming in and out be a toggle. Alright, you all have wonderful days! Games take time and care to make and just great jobs all around. You all should be proud. - Angel/Minty (Aspiring Indie Game Dev, currently learning how to use Godot) (I am serious about helping out though, if you all ever need more additional hands for the second game. I could draw, beta test, voice, lend ideas even, I dunno. I've just always wanted to be a part of something big. It's a long shot, but hey, you miss every opportunity you don't take. You already see the passion I have for the first game here, haha.) Edit: The chasing of her tail could also be made easier too. I find it difficult to keep it going without Mittens deciding she doesn't want to spin in a circle anymore. Edit 2: I also just remembered another bug that happened on stream. I forget which session, it might've been the 3rd one, but for some reason, I was unable to change how Cat 1 looked. Cat 2 could be changed just fine, and I think also Cat was also working. But, for some reason, Cat 1 couldn't be changed. It did later fix itself, but just thought I'd let y'all know since I remembered. Edit 3: I forgot to mention, I loved the music! They're soo goood! Some of them reminds me of songs I would hear in LittleBigPlanet 2. I love when some of the synths would sound like "Meows". Also, maybe the ability to push things of with our paws and maybe scratch things in the sequel? Edit 4: While farming for Flagrante bucks by walking in and out of Fangsworn's room, using the Air Lock to reload the environment, my game startled struggling all of a sudden. The game has worked flawlessly every other time. I wonder why that happened. (Hopefully it didn't start happening because I was streaming it on Discord. I stream it before and still no issues. Maybe I had the game open too long. IDK, but listing it here anyway.) Also, when I returned to the main menu to see if that would help, Mittens turned all pink like she had no texture. Edit 5: I'm so happy that 1) there's a chapter select feature that takes you to that point in the story and that 2) You have access to this chapter select on fresh save files. It allowed me to get the final achievement I was missing without having to go through the game again just to get to that one point. Not that I don't mind playing the game again. I would play this game again even without the achievement. I enjoyed this game that much! (Also, an update to what I said in Edit 4. After restarting the game, I kept walking in and out of that room to get more Flagrante bucks and the game didn't slow down again. So, that's good. Wish there was an easier way to get Flagrante bucks though as I had already broken every piggy bank and hacked every ATM machine in the game.)
Schrodinger's Cat Burglar is an imaginative puzzle adventure that successfully blends science-inspired mechanics with lighthearted storytelling, creating an experience that feels both clever and welcoming. Developed and published by Abandoned Sheep, the game places players in the paws of Mittens, an infamous cat burglar whose latest mission takes an unexpected turn after a quantum experiment leaves the feline trapped inside a high-security research facility. Rather than focusing on stealth or action alone, the game embraces its unusual premise by building nearly every puzzle around quantum concepts, delivering an adventure that stands out through originality and creativity. The heart of the experience lies in its unique ability to split Mittens into two quantum versions that can be controlled to solve environmental puzzles. This mechanic constantly encourages players to think beyond conventional platforming by manipulating both versions of the cat to activate switches, navigate hazards, and reach otherwise inaccessible areas. The game also incorporates concepts inspired by quantum observation, allowing situations to change depending on what is being watched or ignored. These mechanics are introduced gradually, making them easy to grasp while steadily increasing the complexity as new obstacles and interactive systems are added. Every chapter introduces fresh twists that prevent the gameplay from becoming repetitive, rewarding experimentation instead of relying on trial and error. The laboratory itself serves as an excellent setting for the game's puzzle design. Each section presents thoughtfully constructed challenges involving moving platforms, locked security systems, timing-based obstacles, and hidden passages that require careful planning to overcome. Exploration is equally rewarding thanks to optional collectibles, secret rooms, and bonus objectives that encourage players to inspect every corner of the facility. While the main story can comfortably be completed in under a dozen hours, those aiming for full completion will find plenty of additional content that extends the overall experience without feeling artificially padded. Although puzzles take center stage, the narrative provides enough motivation to keep players invested throughout the journey. Mittens' goal of escaping the mysterious laboratory is complemented by discoveries about the experiments conducted within the facility and the unusual characters encountered along the way. The writing embraces a playful sense of humor that perfectly matches the game's whimsical atmosphere, ensuring the scientific themes never become intimidating or overly technical. Instead, the story remains entertaining and approachable, balancing mystery with comedic moments that add personality to the adventure. The visual presentation is colorful and expressive, featuring environments that remain easy to read despite the increasingly elaborate puzzle layouts. Character animations give Mittens plenty of charm, while the laboratory environments maintain a clean aesthetic that helps players focus on solving puzzles rather than searching for interactive elements. A welcome addition is the extensive cosmetic customization system, allowing players to unlock different cat appearances, hats, accessories, and amusing body variations. These cosmetic rewards provide additional incentive to explore thoroughly while giving players the freedom to personalize their version of the feline burglar. Sound design also contributes positively to the overall experience. The soundtrack complements exploration and puzzle-solving with upbeat and atmospheric compositions that never become distracting. Sound effects provide satisfying feedback whenever mechanisms activate or puzzles are completed, reinforcing the feeling of progress throughout the campaign. The polished presentation, responsive controls, and smooth performance further demonstrate the care that has gone into the game's overall production quality. One of the game's strongest features is its local cooperative mode, which allows another player to join seamlessly at almost any point in the adventure. Since the gameplay naturally revolves around coordinating multiple versions of the protagonist, cooperative play feels intuitive and adds an enjoyable layer of teamwork to many of the more advanced puzzles. Steam Remote Play Together support further enhances accessibility, making it easy for friends to experience the adventure together even when playing remotely. Schrodinger's Cat Burglar is not designed for players seeking fast-paced combat or constant action, as its focus remains firmly on thoughtful puzzle-solving and exploration. Some of the later challenges demand patience and careful observation, occasionally requiring players to rethink their approach before discovering the correct solution. However, the steady introduction of new mechanics, engaging level design, and consistently rewarding progression help maintain momentum from beginning to end. Overall, Schrodinger's Cat Burglar is an exceptionally creative puzzle adventure that transforms complex scientific ideas into enjoyable gameplay without sacrificing accessibility or charm. Its inventive mechanics, polished level design, humorous storytelling, rewarding exploration, and cooperative features combine to create a memorable experience that distinguishes itself from more traditional puzzle platformers. Abandoned Sheep has crafted an adventure that is both intellectually engaging and consistently entertaining, making it an easy recommendation for fans of inventive puzzle games and imaginative indie titles. Rating: 9/10
