Saint Maker - Horror Visual Novel

Quite the story driven game, had me hooked the entire time playing. Absolutely adored the voice acting in this game as well, everyone really put their heart and souls into their preformances for this game!

I played YangYang Mobile’s first game, The Letter: A Horror Visual Novel and absolutely loved it. It was so creepy, the tension and mystery were high and there were fabulous different endings. Thus, when I found out about Saint Maker, I was intrigued. However, I initially read reviews and saw people were complaining that the game wasn’t as long and didn’t feature as much horror. I was confused because this was obviously a different game and it never said it was going to be a clone. Eventually, a sale came around and I picked it up and I am so glad I did! The characters are really interesting and the game featured awesome ways to slowly learn each of their backstories and how it got them all in this one location today. There were freaky moments and sweet, but heartbreaking, moments. Unlike The Letter, this game does not feature branching paths, but that does not do this game a disservice. There is the ending and then there is a further section added to the ending if you choose the right choices in your friendship with the other girl. I got the full ending on my first playthrough. I would absolutely recommend this game if you enjoy well-crafted visual novels. Sometimes it’s nice to play a shorter one. This one didn’t take me months nor require me to keep all the branching paths straight in my head.

从《鬼来信》入坑，无脑相信了开发商，并且购买了本作，于是上当了！ 这作怎么回事啊？！从立意、到恐怖程度、到剧情的精彩程度都比不上《鬼来信》一点！ 三个小人物发生的小故事，对这三个人一点都不了解的时候就让我强行共情他们来推进游戏了，我真的完全代入不进去。 玩完本作一丝波澜都没有，大高潮的中心人物是一位游戏中后期总共出场没有说过20话，中文版还有大量文本bug的陌生角色 如果满分100分我打1分。这1分给在游戏文本量够短，没有耽误我五六个小时后再告诉我这是一坨垃圾。

配音演出太好了，让我身临其境般绝望和无助，半个月当中，好几次中断了游玩。 看着文本、听着配音，我也觉得喘不上气，可能是我太容易被心理暗示了。

I first seen The Letter game of them, when searching for a good locally made horror visual novel game, but it didn't really interest me that much as this one (Saint Maker) does. I instantly fell inlove with the plot/ story of this game that I am searching for. What I love from the Game: - The main plot/story (instantly hooked ,plus its horror genre) - The voiceovers - the visuals/sprites Now, after i finish playing this game, there are some features that would've made the game a little better while playing it. First, is the consequences after a choice has been made. The only worry i have with it is that most of the time the choices you've made just don't happen or the mc just ignores it lol. Kinda frustrating when it happens. -That one scene when she founds out the truth? and then got a flashback again from her sister, but this time the box is full of church items. I think that scene is great because i just learned that those are really not her sister but in that scene, the choices are just repeating. I just hope in that scene we had another set of choices maybe even something not Holly to say but to what to think and in this scene, if we have that option. We can have an option where we save her sister or we don't. By just repeating these choices from the start we didn't really have a choice but to have one ending for the sister and its just so sad and it would be so much better if we had more choices in that scene and to have the story a much easier split ending.
