For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. About
What makes a saint? Fire to one’s face, wounds on one’s body, dying slowly from disease — history paints a grim picture. When Holly Beltran attends a religious recollection, she discovers the dark secrets that haunt the convent’s past. At night, broken faced statues and whispered prayers haunt Holly’s dreams — before the recollection is over, Holly may have to face more than her own demons to come out alive.

The game starts off real slow. By the time things picked up and got interesting it was near the end of the game. I don't regret buying the game (I bought it for about $4 on sale) but the story wasn't that interesting. It got better near the end though. I wouldn't pay full price for it. The story wasn't what I expected it to be either. The best part about the game was the voice acting, they did a really good job with it. The art was good too. There aren't many different backgrounds in the game, but that makes sense since it's not that long of a game. Some people said it took them 6 hours to complete but I'd say that it took me about 12 (my play time says 15 because I left the game running for long periods of time while I did other things). I think the people that finished it in 6 hours didn't listen to the full audio of the voice acting clips because some of them were long. Near the end (because I was getting impatient) I didn't listen to the full audio clips, but if I did, my play time would have been longer. I'm disappointed that 12 hours of my life was spent on this game; time I could have spent on another game because the plot just wasn't worth it. The game wasn't even scary at all, I wouldn't call it a horror game. This does NOT compere to The Letter, which is an ~amazing~ game. I also wish that this game wasn't so centered around the Kailey Taylor books, I was getting annoyed hearing about them all the time. I feel the story would have been better without it. The ending was alright, but I felt that the way it ended was kind of sudden or missing something, I can't exactly put my finger on what was exactly wrong with it. I only got one ending, I heard there was a secret ending, but I'm not interested enough in the game to try to get the other ending. Maybe when I'm bored and have nothing else to do I'll try to get it. I don't even know how to get it, so I'm not even looking forward to figuring out how to get the secret ending. Again I don't regret getting the game, I just don't like that I spent so much time on a story I didn't really enjoy or have much fun playing. Others may find the plot more interesting than I did though. Also, I had an issue when I tried loading a save file. It just showed a black screen and it wouldn't load any of the save files. I had to restart the game from the every beginning and skip aaall the way to the part I was last at and I was near the end of the game too. This needs to be fixed. I had no idea that that was even a thing because I always clicked "Continue" instead of "Load game"
It's a meh rather than an endorsement but due to the amount of crappy VN on Steam it would be an insult to this game if I didn't recommend it. The thing is it is quite short (about 5-6 hours), has no replayability, at least half the choices have no consequences and the art is minimalistic: 5-10 backgrounds, a few sprites and a few characters that aren't that well drawn. The story is ok but moves quite slowly and it is quite predictable. So buy it if it is not too expensive and if you're not expecting The Letter 2.

This is unfortunate for me to write. I was a huge fan of The Letter, and while I knew a game with so much bizarre levels of pathing could not be executed again, I didn't expect this game to be a totally linear novel for the price it was sold at. It's like the characters don't remember what you say 6 minutes later. The only thing you can change is getting the optional scene at the end. I can treat Gabby like garbage and she still warms up to me over the course of the plot, come on. I can think horrible thoughts as Adira, and not have it reflect on how she treats the two poor girls in the plot. The mystery is really one note, the foreshadowing hits you over the head, but still, somehow doesn't build itself up at all. This game is not scary, there are some triggering images and sound effects, but I didn't feel on edge once. It feels like they chose the setting off vibes, everything regarding religeon is surface level, and all the girls do is clean. It is supposed to feel like an endless, impossible task to maintain this rotten convent, but it just comes off as tedious and they make absolutely no horror out of those moments. MISSED OPPORTUNITY!!! I was so excited for the next project, but this was very disappointing.
