Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Reviews
Yes, the hardcore fans are right, it is not as detailed and deep as the old games in terms of mechanics, interactions and AI but if you are a normie stalker like me there is a lot of fun to be had with this one. The main appeal for me is that this game has its own identity and style which makes up for the lack of depth. The atmosphere is mostly excellent, shooting is fun and with the 2.0 update it looks amazing, runs great.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 23: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 35.43/day in the week to Aug 18 → 246.14/day in the week after.
Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Overall, 2.0 feels like a complete improvement to STALKER 2. The game was already good, but this update makes it feel considerably more polished, better-performing, and closer to what the game always had the potential to be. The biggest surprise for me has been the performance boost. Before the update, I was getting roughly 40–50 FPS on all-low settings. After 2.0, I'm consistently getting 60+ FPS while running mostly high settings. The difference is honestly night and day. The "A Cost of Hope" DLC is also a really nice addition. It's awesome to see the CNPP in such high detail. The DLC is such a love letter to the fans, the attention to detail around and in the CNPP is so cool, seeing things from the older games brought back honestly made me so happy to see
Free stalkers, veterans, and hunters, join Skif! We have a huge responsibility to GSC Game World, who gave us treasured moments and adventures in our previous travels into the Zone! My fellow stalkers, I have been far from the Zone up until the time of writing about my experiences. There are new factions, a much bigger world, references and returning locations and characters from Shadow of Chernobyl, Clear Sky, and Call of Pripyat. For us older stalkers, seeing returning characters who can now actually speak, since we are no longer playing a mute protagonist, was a really nice addition. I grew attached to quite a few of them. New mutants that were once only ideas that never made it into the previous games have finally made their way into S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, along with plenty of new guns, upgrades, suits, and artifacts. The returning mutants have also been buffed. Yes, I say this with a somewhat annoyed expression on my face. Got 400 rounds for your current gun? Easily spent on some of the tougher varieties of mutants. They can be absolute bullet sponges. At least, you can occasionally get trophies from them that can be sold or used in side missions for some extra money. The different endings allow for multiple playthroughs, but I will say this: buying new gear, repairs, and upgrades is VERY expensive. Be prepared to grind, budget your money, and plan carefully around the equipment you already have. Overall, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 feels like a worthy return to the Zone. It has plenty of familiar elements for veterans while introducing enough new content to make the journey feel like more than a simple nostalgia trip.
I'm very happy that the devs didn't try to re-invent the wheel and stuck with what was already working in the first three Stalkers. A thick layer of nostalgia for characters of the previous games help too. Basically, it's everything I wanted from the new Stalker.
